A selfish fantasy football query here, and also as a Villa fan, always keen to see ex players do well at other clubs.

So what's the diddlyo with Begovic then? Sorensen seemed to be doing a stellar job this season. Has Pulis said why he is bringing him in and what are fans thoughts on who will be first choice.

Ta!

Pulis doesnt have a clue what he is doing in this-the least of Stoke's concerns and weaknesses are in the goalkeeping department so that money really should be better spent elsewhere.I don't follow why he fails to see that!

Maybe Sorensen shouldn't have bragged to local papers how 'big clubs' were interested in signing him .. From there one, Stoke has been trying to sign another keeper.

You guys should be very happy, I agree with Pulis that he is the best young goalkeeper in the country and im disappointed we've let him go for as little as 3m, after selling kaboul id hoped we wouldnt need to sell him and I expect to see him go on to be a top top goalkeeper in the next few years.

We've got Sorensen and Begovic in the sqaud till the next transfer window, so it doesn't really matter who plays or who doesn't.
The big problem is that once again we have Lawrence on the bench and Diao on the pitch tonight, just how TP see's Daio has one of our best players is mind boggling, we need to get shut of the bloke in the summer, he is a complete waste of space and contract and he should be paid no more than Ģ50 a week, and that's when he plays well, lol

Pulis has brought in a decent keeper, because he mentioned that if one keeper got injured, he wouldnīt be able to have a sub keeper on the bench.

I donīt know why Lawrence isnīt playing more for stoke, heīs scored some beauties.

But I trust Pulis, he sees far more of the squad than I do and if stoke donīt get relegated, itīs a great result for the club and local area.

I think Stoke can even push Birmingham come the end of the season.

I think the signing of Begovic is the best bit of business done today.

I mean Begovic is 22, Stoke paid less than Ģ3.5 million and they have him under control for 4 more years, from what I have seen of him he looks very promising.

I think Sorensen will hold on to be no 1 until the season ends. Then I think Sorensen will be sold, he is getting on in years and must be drawing a decent salary.

Stoke might have other needs but at this moment I don't think this signing should be questioned!

I think a goal scorer would have been more important. The side is well drilled and difficult to score against but again last night we missed chances to beat a team which was beatable. Begovic will be a good signing BUT drawing games isnt enough we need to score goals and get the success that we deserve!!!!

Good signing. You now have 2 solid international quality keepers.

I think Sorensen is a good keeper but does drop a clanger from time to time - It's good for him to have the competition in the Squad.

Stoke have got the better end of the deal as well by leaving James where he was.

Begovic is a class act, we had him on loan here at Ipswich and he did brilliantly for us until he was recalled because James got injured.Hes not the finished article because hes young but he will definately improve, and you got best between James and Begovic, good luck.

Weird!
He was at Bournemouth on loan two seasons ago and was considered a candidate for 'worst on-loan keeper ever'. The competition was David Button and some young hopeful / total liability called Alan (?) Blayney back around 2003.

Blayney left when our first and second choice keepers recovered from injury, the other two caused so much damage they had to go.

I was really not expecting him to make any kind of grade at all. Weird.
