Whatever happened to the Jan. Fire Sale?

I see Walter is saying he doesn't expect any players (other then Rothen) to leave.

I'm astonished by this. I had been reliably informed that Lloyds were so desperate for 'their money back' that they would definitely be selling McGregor, Bougherra, Davis, Mendes, Beasley, Novo, Miller and Boyd by the end of this month.

It seems the location of the fire sale was incorrectly identified. The bookies don't seem impressed by the rebuilding efforts either.

36K a week yikes

He did seem a strange signing by Walter,i know we needed a winger but surely we had a look at him first ?

Lets hope Beasley come back good and does not slip back into the hole where he came back from.

It was a strange one considering Walter. obviousley knew at the time that the club was hemorrhaging money from every hole and by then the recession was in full swing.

I dont think it was a strange signing to be fair, it just did not work out.

Walter new we needed width and thought that by bringing Rothen in he would provide it, or at least give the other wide players the boot up the behind that they needed ok

Although it did not work for Rothen it does seem to have had a positive effect on those wide players already at the club, so job done then ok

Pity they are all injured now though yikes

Who chose not to believe that?

I must have imagined all that talk about petitions etc.

The biggest irritant about 606 is folks that just make up any old p !sh and post it as if it was fact.

laugh

Must try harder...donut
