Well its now a case of whos manager can we get now ours has apparently flown the coup. We have all been shocked and also ranting about OC's loyalty to the club. The fact he has gone to Bolton is a surprise the fact he has left! well it was always going to happen.
If we are looking for a club man to take over then Steve Davis is the man we would not need to pay any compo and I think he would not change our style that much. Having an ex defender in charge might help tighten things up at the back and one or two who haven't been getting a chance may feel there is an opportunity now OC and his loyalty package to old players has gone. To bring in an outsider now could disrupt things even more and there is one option we could look at wot about Grezza for manager would he pick himself!

Owen Coyle has acted with a complete lack of integrity by signing an improved contract in June when turning down overtures from Celtic. Sure, Burnley come away with more compensation but why sign up and move within 6 months!

Don't fall for the rubbish talked about 'bright young managers'- Tony Adams [sacked], Paul Ince [sacked], Darren Ferguson [sacked, popular because of his father!], Alan Shearer [took Newcastle down in style]. The best guys have worked their way up, Redknapp, Hodgson, O'Neill and of course Ferguson senior. Choose a manager with proven experience of relative success such as Curbishley, Coppell, or Hughes. I accept though that they may turn any offer down but at least sound them out!

For me Owen Coyle has disgraced himself leaving your club for Bolton. A move upwards you could partially understand but to join a club who will be looking to put you into one of those relegation spots to save themselves is the hallmark of a money grabber.

Best of luck for the rest of the season (after Saturday of course ;) ) and I sincerely hope that its you lot sitting pretty at the end of the season and not Bolton.

Yes, I agree with Claretinoz. Steve Davis I believe was on the short list before OCs appointment and Burnley should at least give him a game or two to try him out.
Hughes could'nt organise a booze up in a brewery even with 200million to spend.
Well,if you are a Burnley fan you can now truly say that there is no such thing as GOD.
However we shall all have faith in the Clarets . God has now gone to hell and he shall eat pigs trotters for all eternity !

I get so annoyed when i see these newly appointed managers holding the shirt or scarf over their head and promising the earth while at the same time they have their agent on speed dial on the mobile in case something more lucrative pops up.Im really dissapointed in OC, after watching the promo parade on tv and the good feeling it bought into the supporters and the area in general for him to do a Cotteril is sickening.I sincerely hope you stay up, win or lose on Saturday i dont care, im just so incensed by the whole manager farce at the moment, when is loyalty to the fans going to account for something and not just money.Good luck for the rest of the season Burnley.!!

I think when the end of the season comes there will be a new terminology for the Premiership. It will be 'Doing a Coyle'. I will leave it up to everyone else to define it. Very disappointed for Burnley and hope they can hold on to the players like Eagles and Fletcher that are doing such a good job for them.

There is no loyality from players, managers and most chairmen/directors.
The only loyal ones are us The Fans, and we keep being shafted, how long will this go on.

As a fan of the prem, i am becoming more disliusioned by the day. I follow spurs but like to watch every team. OC has let you down badly. Everytime i read a story i am astonished. Sorry Bolton fans but I hope you go down so OC gets stuck in the championship and I hope he never comes out. A manager who just a week ago i had great respect for I now despise.

Curbishley would be a good choice of manager for you

John Coleman at Accrington is a complete miracle worker and would be perfect for a team like Burnley.
