The Daily Mirror says we are in for Scott McDonald

I know the Daily Mirror can't always be trusted but I am unsure if he is the player we really need. I doubt he will be able to provide a second scoring option after Rodallega...

The other team interested in him is Middlesborough, so yet again we seem to be going after players destined to be in the championship.

I am really worried, I think we would be throwing away money here.

All I have to say is KRIS BOYD is the player from the SPL to got for. Obvious I know but teams are always linked with these strikers from Scotland who do nothing in the premier league but seeing as Boyd scores about 2 to 3 times more than any other player in the SPL then surely he's the one to do the job

Can I just say, I am sorry for upsetting some of you Celtic fans. I have taken back what I said so yeah. I apologise.
BUT we do have an amazing striker in Rodallega down here at Wigan
And we have a fair few good players down here; Diame, N'Zog, Kirkland to name a few...
I would do your research before you criticise us if you are going to criticise me for the same thing.

Wigan. Oh dear. For your sake I hope you dont get him. For our sake, I'll be glad to be rid of him. Arrogant and overrated. Ray Charles and Stevie Wonder could be an effective strike force for Old Firm in Scotland. Just shows you how bad Samaras is. I'll be glad to be rid of him. replacement of the goals is something Id leave in Mogga's hands, but I prefer to be rid of the wee barrel.

A dream move for Scott. Plenty of Aussie mates at the RL club and plenty of pie shops. Four million pounds.......that will be his weight this time next year.

Can't beleve some of the comments from the celtic fans about Skippy on here. The guy saved our bacon on sunday and at the min is the best foward we have at the club. I for one don't want him to go he will always get goals for us, if you ask me it's not skippy we need rid of it most of the others that need to go. As far as i am concerened wigin can go and jump it would be a downward step for him to go there i really think they will drop down this year so unless yea wanna play in the english 2nd league skippy stay put it's only a matter of time before rangers loose a load of there players and we take what's rightfully our's

HAIL HAIL

Last Sundays goal just papers the cracks. He`s put on weight and lost speed.Strachan built him up so he could hold the ball up better but he lost pace and sharpness due to the muscle he put on.Personally , I`d get rid of him , Samaras and Fortune and buy one good one with the money. We make at least ten chances every game and score one, then concede a daft goal at the back.Caldwell will find his true level at Boro.He should have been marking McCulloch last weekend but got caught flatfooted (again).Wigan look to be in trouble so I suppose they will be clutching at straws but Celtic traditionally buy cheap and sell for top money! He is under a long contract so their is no pressure to sell.I expect Wigan to sell again this window as this club cannot sustain a Premiership wagebill on their Sky money and their tiny home gate alone!

Every time Celtic go into a game, I think: Who will score today? If McDonald is playing, I choose him. If he is not playing, I can't think of anyone on the Celtic team I'd favour to score. Celtic have only one natural scorer on their books: McDonald. Can anyone name another? I think not. McGeady jinks and carries and crosses the ball well, but his shooting is just awful. Samaras has his moments, but he's hot and cold. After that, there is no one else. Repeat: No one else ! If McDonald in sidelined for any time, Celtic can forget any title bid (unless Mowbray finds another decent striker, but I hold out little hope of that happening).
