You may have changed routes but the question is still in the same league of dumbness.

There's no comparison.......yet.

Owen's been at the club 4 months, whereas best and ronaldo served 5 years minimum doh again!!!!

no comparison...yet?

You think owen (30) is going to get better?

Ok, kebab, do you think owen will do the shirt justice?

That's more like it redhead.

He's been purchased as 3rd striker. If the question is do I think he'll do well as a 3rd striker the answer is yes.
If you wanna make comparisons with previous Utd No.7 heroes then that is unfair. Ronaldo, Cantona and Beckham had different roles and as you already mentioned, had more time to 'do the shirt justice'.
If you want a comparison that is fair here's one for you - Owen will score more goals that Voronin this season

PS i am not old enough to have seen Best play live, but I did see an interview where he stated no. 11 was his number.

of course he'll score more than voronin.

If you're using "doing better than voronin" as an example of who can fill the number 7 shirt then i guess many will be fit to wear it!

Read again red I said he was bought (for nothing, does that make sense- bought for nothing? Sounds good) as our 3rd striker therefore referencing voronin, as he is your 3rd striker.

As far as him doing the shirt justice give him time my friend. We've only had his first 4 months and they are bedding-in months too.

You say he's 30 but, that is true, only 30 years young. He's still a pup compared to Giggs, Scholes, Neville and Van Der Sar.

Now it's ok keeping the old timers on board, but are they succesful? You may ask.

Check the records.

I think Owen will have a lot of time to build on goals such as his injury-time winner in the derby and his champions league hat-trick.

but what about the games he didn't score in?

Including V burnley and fulham, missing quite a few chances.

Who says voronin is our third striker?

Me

I say he's your third striker!

Yeah you said it - what about 'em!

My glass is half full mate.

Seems like yours is half empty.

Success breeds sucess.

Who said that?

ME!

i'd say we don't have a third striker, if we do its kuyt, behind torres and ngog.

Seeing as owen will start today we'll see whether he fills the no.7 shirt or his wallet with greater gusto.

further on the sending off point from yesterday, the Wolves players didn't contest the yellow card shown to Berra so they all agree it was a yellow card.

They (players and Mccarthy) got upset when their little ruse got found out and the correct player got the card.

So what is Voronin then?

Kuyt plays right sided forward a bit like ronaldo you know that. And you know Voro is your 3rd striker as well
