What happened with Arsenal was wrong. What happened with Milton Keynes is even more wrong, as football no longer operates the "closed shop" that existed in the days of Arsenal's move, and the way is open for towns to see their club promoted up the pyramid in a way that didn't exist back then.

The petition about MK being in England's World Cup bid has now reached 500 signatories, in just over two days, which ain't bad going. The Government will now have to issue a formal response once the petition closes. But the more signatures we get, the better. If you can think of anyone who might sign, please let them know the link. And if you haven't signed yourself, please do! Thanks. http://petitions.number10.gov.uk/mk2018bid/

Mate I wont delete the above comment because your passionate about it, but it does sound like sour grapes for an outsider looking in. <erm>

The petition in mean-spirited and I am somewhat surprised Trebor_75 is involved.

Also, it is morally inconsistent. The Emirates are also a candidate stadium and the petition also should be seeking to exclude them.

No, only applies to MK and it's a moral issue.
