Kyle Eastmond has agreed a new 2 year deal at SAINTS that continues to the end of 2012, along with Graham saying he is going nowhere hopefully that means we can discuss other players movements on this board? With the new stadium plans on target for mid 2011 the management of Saints seem to be taking us through a smooth transition. Now one of the youngest squads with loads of potential we can keep pushing those Rhino's. Next season looks like being one of the best and certainly not a 2 horse race, if I had to pick a team who may suprise everybody I would go for HULL ? Who would you pick?

Fair point. We'll see if Eastmond fulfills some of his potential. His temprement is the big question. Maybe that will get better with age?

Promising young player, just hope he doesn't get too big for his boots.
He must be really thick though. He is quoted as saying "To me, St Helens are the best club are in the Super League".

Best club?

Not won the Grand Final since 2006
Dreadful stadium
Low crowds

Not even close Kyle!

Agree with saintswift - Graham ia a saint through and through. We saw that at Headingley.

The only reason saints have given kyle a 2yr deal is because he hasnt achieved anything yet,it would be very unprofessional to give him a huge 5yr contract and for him not to fulfil his potential.Let him show us what he can do over the next 18mths or so and IF he can produce man of the match performances consistantly then we can give him what he wants!!!

word out of KR is that kyle only signed after being reassured that saints will be taking the drawing very seriously next 2 seasons.

Kyle Eastmond looks a great prospect. Possibly he could be the new Billy Wizz? Graham, gulp, isn't actually the amazing player people (pundits?) think. He is very brave, very strong, and very committed, but nowhere near the like of Ellis or Peacock. He is basically the new Morley...? Saints have been burned before leaving players in the team years after their sell by date...Sculthorpe! Cunningham! and the next will be...Wellens!

Saints have missed a trick here. This is a great deal for Martin Offiah and obviously Kyle in 2yrs time. Sam Tomkins gets tied down for 5yrs at Wigan and Kyle only 2yrs. If he continues at the rate he's been improving, no-one bar Warrington will be able to afford him in 2yrs. Enjoy it whilst we can fellow Saints-speccies as the Saints board have cocked this one right up.

I don't think the Saints board has cocked up at all. I'd stake my trousers that the offer on the table from Saints was a much longer contract than 2 years, but that is all Eastmond (well...Offiah) would agree to.

I expect him to leave our sport after two years.

Eastmond will switch to rugby union after two years and be playing for Northampton Saints. His talent will add extra dimension to the English game just when he is at his peak...another Jason Robinson in the pipe line.
