Premier League Chelsea

Great result today, we stayed calm & collective, played good effective passing, defended as a unit, we were just simply too strong/powerfull for the goonies.

We have beaten all 3 of Liverpool, Manchester United & Arsenal also we're 5 points clear of Man U & 11 points a head of Arsenal at the top of the league.

I would certainly like to think we'll be champs of england at the end of this season. But we need to stay professional in the Xmas period also January as we lose 4 of our african players, i.e. Drogba, Essien, Mikel & Kalou - to African Cup Of Nations.

But the the A.C.O.N period is only 4 match's long and our players can cope with, i.e. Hull, Birmingham, Burnley & Sunderland. Also we can buy players in January to strengthen the squad.

Up the Chels!

As a frustrated Arsenal fan, am tired of hearing Wenger make all kind of excuses for what is obvious:Arsenal does not currently have the team that can win the Premier League. It is as simple as that, Wenger can either have a trophy winning team or continue to have a team that make good business sense but can't win anything!

Does it [Wengers policy] make good business sense though? You have the money to spend on players, according to your board, but Wenger refuses to spend it on the type of players you need. You're one of the richest clubs on the planet, the money is there. Maybe if he did spend that money, bringing in a couple of top-class experienced players, then you might win something and then that generates more income etc.

It seems to me that Wenger is now being stubborn in order to prove a point, rather than doing whats best for Arsenal. Changing his philosophy would be tantamount to admitting he was wrong. He's not going to do that. You either accept his way, a youngish technically adept foreign team that's quite nice to watch sometimes but with no backbone and little chance of success, or you look to a new manager.

Chelsea, a money assembled side would not win the better team award against the Arsenal team if that would be. Chelsea won because they are men and Arsene Wenger would always be stubborn to ignore genuine pleas that some men be recruited to help Arsenal. I think Arsene Wenger should be forced to buy a goalkeeper, a center back and a striker of high note. If he refuses because he prefers small boys who he could control without any resistance, they should let him go. There are other coaches to take over after his era.

Arsene doesn't like players with opinions, he wants to mould players to be eternally grateful to him and to only think like he does. He almost takes it as an insult that teams can defend properly against his team and seems unwilling to defer power to an experienced leader on the pitch. I would love to know what he said at half time against sunderland, would viera, petit, gilberto, Adams and keown, have payed much attention to being told to 'keep doing the same, be patient and our chances will come'? they knew how to win games like that, probably would have taken the half time themselves and said things like 'be first to every ball, win every header and every second ball, don't give them a second to think' probably would have told the players who aren't playing well enough to their face that they need to play better. I get the impression its more like a european cafe in there now, if gallas is the only one willing to speak his mind, god help you.

We don't have a young inexperienced side. Nor do we have a captain who likes to throw tantrums when things don't go his way.

----------------------------------------------

no you have a captain who misses your crucial champs league penalty.....then cries

-------------------------

Classic! How to set yourself up

-------------------------

Yeah because Terry is the only ever footballer to miss a penalty and cry after just losing in Europe's biggest final.

doh

And as if that had anything to do with causing poor team morale and a bad run of form (was at the end of the season anyway) like Gallas' antics did. I didn't see any of our players throwing a pizza at Sir Alex after that game.

How to set yourself up? How to completely miss the point more like.

It really shows what you know about football.
Can you count how much money your club have spent over the past few years. What club buys the same striker twice in the space of a decade, but then i guess you can afford to cant you.

Spurs have one of the richest owners in football in Joe Lewis who basically owns spurs and is worth 2.5 billion.
Is your new stadium you plan to build going to come from all your tophy winning money??? hmmm

People need to stop using money as an excuse, yes money is a major factor, but it still takes alot more to be succesfull, as Blackburn, City, Villa and Real Madrid will tell you.
