I really hope he keeps pompey up, i like the club and i like Avram as he did a great job with us. It might take him a month or 2 to get it right as with Chelsea he had the players and formation already in place. Good Luck anyway.

Lets hope we do! Not an easy first game but you never know.
On another note, 7,000 tickets left for the Villa game, Lets support them people!. Plus it will give Grant an extra match to review the players.

i wish grant and pompey the best of luck. grant is a top manager and in many ways i was sad to see him leave chelsea. he has the qualities to help portsmouth survive. lets face it they arent the worst team in the leauge, they have some decent players so they have every chance of staying up

You'll be lining up without all the players you sold over the last 2 years. What you need is a squad to pick from that is able to stave off relegation. I don't believe you have that, even the home ground isn't a fortress anymore. Lets just hope saturday isn't too humiliating.

Poor old Avram! Wherever he goes with an honest intention to be the Director of Football, out of the blue, the Chairman realises that manager is useless and needs to be relaced by the saviour Grant! How unlucky and coincidental is that!

I was laughing so much when I read your comments! Unfortunately not all readers understands your to me obvious irony!
Im not a fan of Pompey nor Grant, however I have huge respect for what he did with Chelsea and do not agree to fire him. Scolary is a fantastic coach, and he couldnt do better than Grant! So congratulations with your new Manager!
Ps. Im a Man Utd. fan so please not too much luck for Grant in his first game!

Pompey deserve to go down the way they treated Hart - they beratedHarry for leaving at the first sign of trouble and then Hart saves them from relegation, they take all his good players away, replace them lock stock on barrel with journeymen and flops from other clubs, then don't pay the players and Hart loses his job because they lost a load of matches - what a joke - I'm surprised Grant was allowed a workingvisa (no offence intended to Avram Grant - I'd take a premier league job if someone offered me) on the basis that an Englishman was losing his job for no good reason to a non-eu citizen - if someone did that in another industry they'd be marching the streets
