Jim Harvey for Tranmere?

Non League Chester City

While these superb three wins on the bounce for Chester is fabulous news, i am concerned that it will highlight Jim Harvey's tactical genius to TRANMERE ROVERS who are still to appoint a manager! He was a legend there and it would not take much persuasion for him to return especially with our dire financial position and point deduction!

Thanks for your comments SE7Drwhites but;

'Not many TRFC fans want to see Chester survive the current crisis, but i do.I enjoyed the rivalry of the late 70s & 80s and do miss trips to Chester. Whenever we played at Sealand Road we would have nearly "HALF THE CROWD"'

I remember when you lot were having gates of under 2,000 regular during the 70's and 80's and you never filled Sealand Road or half of the gate in fact you struggled to get 1000 in for most matches as you were a poor side/club just like us. You really do leave yourselves wide open with the 'were bigger than you' comments like thatwinkeye. If you dont believe history suggest that you check the archiveswinkeye

Gateshead fan in peace.

Whatever happens to your manager, I hope Chester do enough on and off the field to stay in the BSP.

Good luck.

York fan in peace. Was at the game last night and I have to say although we deserved it, Chester looked a decent side, one of the better ones we've played this season. Jim Harvey will hopefully turn it around and you can claw back those points and avoid relegation. Its shocking really whats happend to your club.

I wish!! (Kinda). I few thousand armchair reds to boost our attendance would do nicely! (That was the whole 'genius' behind appointing Barnes).

While I'm relatively young so don't know too much of the history, I don't get the big rivalry between us and Chester. While I'm obviously in favour of us doing better, I don't understand why people wish you ill on and off the field. I'd quite like you to get back up and give us a proper local derby!
