I am a big fan of Rafa, and don't want him to be sacked, but how much patience do the board have.

To stop this kind of furore after the game in future, Ngog should take some coaching from Stevie G about how to ensure that your trailing foot makes contact with the defender.

If they throw the book at ngog then they would have to do something to gerrard for his starfish impression and you're not aloud to do anything to England an international
As for rikrednose to suggest ngog has the ability to be able to predict what carsley might do would mean he's a decent player which he's not.

One more thing!
Many of you say: Rafa must go.
Maybe you're right. But I want ask you one question: who do you think can succeed him and save the season for Reds?
I can't answer this question myself so I'd like to hear your opinions. Thank you.

Mancini (ex-Inter Milan) is still out of a job and is desperate to get one (even Northampton he considered...)and he is good manager.
Sven was a not too great English Manager but as Club Manager is one of the best.
Having said that, I think Liverpool, with their tradition and current squad (taht can work unde the right manager) plus suporter base, could poach a lot of good names regardless if they are currently employed or not.
And I am being serious!

I have been a LFC since 1972, I think Liverpool winning by this outrageous cheating is a disgrace. This boy should be disciplined by the league and his club. If LFC have to cheat get themselves out of this current difficulty I think I would rather them win nothing

4 goals in 7 games would suggest otherwise

Sven was great until he reached the finals and then he blew it big time with his enept choice of squad. How about Jose?? Only joking. Rafa will stay.No manager can put right genuine injuries and LFC are like Arsenal were last season racked with them; it is still only November , long way to go. However the biggest impediment for all the top clubs apart from so many injuries right now is that wretched African Nations Cup, that will have a real affect upon the clubs who rely heavily on the talent from those countries ( maybe they will be forced to field more English players.Chelsea and Arsenal will be worst affected.

More patience than available funds (his severance pay) it seems.

I wrote the comment below about a year ago, and have always felt this way. Nothing has changed about how I feel about Rafa. It's nothing personal. I always stood by the previous coaches, because as a Liverpool fan that is what you do. But with Rafa we will NEVER, NEVER, NEVER win the league... NEVER!
Remember, I wrote this awhile ago: Of course Rafa's style has impeded our success. With Rafa we will NEVER win the league. NEVER. NEVER. NEVER. Occasional great games, yes - but never good enough to win the entire league. He will likely go on buying many more sub-top players (Pennant, Skrtl, Kuyt, etc). Let the promising and proven prematurely leave (Keane, Cisse, etc). Bench those in form (Benayoun, Keane, Garcia). And keep rotating everybody as much as possible. Result: no coherence, always searching for the right combination, and lack of inventive play. Too dependant of the few that do make the difference: Gerrard, Torres. We can't win the league with Rafa.

I agree, I don't think sacking Rafa is the answer, he's a good manager and he lives & breathes Liverpool. I don't agree with some of the decisions he has made like signing Veronin??? However he could do with more support from the board. I think Hicks & Gilette need to go and lets attract someone like a rich business man from the Middle East to inject some cash in to the club so we can buy some talent for the future, which will allow us to stop leaning on Gerrard, Torres and Kuyt to a certain degree to win us game & trophies. We could do with a few more Strickers and Wingers so Fernando doesn't have the weight of the world on his shoulders every time he steps out on to the pitch. Admittidly we need the cash but imagine what it would look like if we had players like David Villa & Wesley Sjnider!! Awesome!!! Obviously a few others but lets buy top quality instead of medioka. Come on Rafa, make it happen.
