Darren Ferguson (21st January 2007-09 November 2009)

Ferguson took over when Peterborough United where on a 6 game losing streak in League 2, following the departure of Keith Alexander. He succesfully guided our club to two succesive promotions and took POSH into the championship. He has been punished by his own success and wrongly sacked.

Record In Charge of Posh: Games - 145, Won - 73, Drawn - 32, Lost - 40, Win - 50.34%

Darren - Good luck with the rest of your career, onto bigger and better things, which are destined for you! Thanks for everything you have done for this club!

Posh Tom...you are an idiot. your comment of 'the donkeys such as Morgan, Martin, Batt etc costing us points every week'.
who picked these players? Fergie
Who Kept these players when they should have been sold? Fergie
Like many players in the team, Fergie was out of his depth in the Championship

This is the funniest thing I have heard for ages ......DO the posh board really think they are going to get someone better than DF ???......The guy is working his way up the ladder , posh ......down the ladder from here on , even if they'd been relegated you had a solid tight knit group that would have rallied ...........BIG WHOOPSIE posh ...........

Darragh now has to put his money where his mouth is. Give the new man funds to get some quality players.
I would like to see someone like Wise, Peter Taylor or Paul Jewell.

Can only think this was not a footballing decision but a problem behind the scenes. Be interested to see DF's next move - all may become clear.

If DF hadn't guided Posh to promotion last year he'd probably still be in a job today, same situation brewing at Hull. Now there's nothing wrong with having ambition, but some clubs seem to think that this must happen overnight. The only way a lesson can be learned from this now is if Posh suffer back-to-back relegations.

"I would like to see someone like Wise, Peter Taylor or Paul Jewell."

Did you mean to say "I would like to see someone wise like, Peter Taylor or Paul Jewell?"

The other alternative is that you meant the little man Dennis - not a good idea.

Don't quite understand the logic(?). When a team does well, the manager gets heaps of praise. When the team does poorly, as in Peterborough this season, it's the players fault? Surely there is enough blame to go around. Blame that even the name "Ferguson" could not deflect!

humble pie, a little off the mark there, mate.

When things don't go well it is the referees' fault. ;-)

The 'other' Fergie always says that it's the referees fault anyway, and he's always right!

Isn't he?
