"Darren Mackie, on for the injured Aluko, almost made an immediate impact when he earned a yard of space in the box with a terrific piece of skill"

nah, but seriously, good result today. couldnt make it down to the game today, but heard from a mate that the performance was good to, and apparently we looked a real threat on the counter-attack.

we should be lethal on the counter attack- lets drop Miller, play Aluko, Paton, Pawlett, and Maguire. the pace of that lot would terrify defences, plus they all have more ability than Miller IMO.

Foster is a handy player to have in the squad as he can play various positions and can provide cover.
I'm not one of the fans that wants him punted.
There are plenty that do (Ebbe being one).
It's only an opinion, but I'd keep him.
Ross is likely to leave in January anyway reading between the lines.

Dont believe in this "utility " player idea for Foster. He had a good game today at right back-leave him there-its his best position.
On the subject, has anyone ever got a cap as a "utility"player?
Nobody improves if they are played all over the park.

I think Mackie is a clown and should be shown the door at the earliest oppertunity, however the amount of abuse the guy takes when he comes on is unbelievable, no matter how bad a player is we shouldn't be abusing him on the pitch.
I would keep Foster as a squad player, not good enough to be a first pick if we are seriously trying to improve but a decent back up player.

I know Mulgrew has got a decent left peg, but I just cannot understand what all the fuss is about, he was a liability yesterday.

Gie Foster a break. not good enough, we are AFC he is plenty good enough for us.

No he isn't Cafu, but we're not Brazil.

I'll bet Foster is one of the first picks every week by MM.

I've been saying it since the celtic game and was slaughtered for it by some of you on here. Under McGhee foster will become a good player for us.

I agree that foster is a good player but ross brings international experience. Tough call.

Aluko's goal today was class, getting off topic

Guys, Mackie had a really good game today imo. There was one point he stumbled on the ball just outside the box but if i remember correctly there was 2 or 3 st johnstone players around him and no dons players.

Give the guy a break ffs. Booing him when he comes on and then slating him after a good performance isnt what fans are meant to do.

Crazy Ivan, and the others, Foster is not good enough if we are serious in making a better team over the coming seasons then it's guys like Foster who have to get dropped if better players become available. We have to get out of the mindset that because a player runs about a lot doesn't make him a good player.
I admire his commitment and workrate but if he is the best we can ever hope for then we may as well all give up now.
The fact he is around 26 and hasn't got a position of his own says it all.
