Because of a cowboy TV Station
that thinks it can rebrand everything and re-write history.
MNF is a pain in the neck and could be an unfair advantage late on in the season.
I really also dislike what has happened to our football in this country.
Italy for instance would not rebrand serie A and call it the Lega Principale.
I really dislike the design of the Premier League trophy. Footballs history had been chucked away. The old 1st Division trophy is now picked up by clubs who win the Championship - the old second division.
Its just insulting.

Its a yank idea from the NFL.


When Sky first signed up the Premiership they introduced it but the problem was the Champions League came along and screwed it up it as the CL teams can't play then. I don;t think Sky even bother bidding for that package nowadays.

The Monday Night game is a bit of a tradition in the US but its shown on one of the major stations and not tucked away on a extra subscription channel.
