Wonder how Ronaldo`s doing at Real now he will be encouraged to start diving again.

---------------------

I think he's still injured which is why Real are suffering! Not quite the dream move for him at the moment really!

I think to be fair, Ronnie did dive a lot, but no more than many other players like Drogba etc. I think most players will take a dive if needed. It showed more when Ronnie did it as he went at such pace and to be honest, the slightest of touches would send him flying or even the thought of getting injured would.

But it is ridiculous and the officials don't seem to be tackling it correctly. Many dives go unpunished and then you get poor players like Fletcher the other day paying the price!! Another of my bugbears is this grabbing of the shirt in the box and hauling players down. If defenders started getting punished for it, that would stamp it out! It's amazing how some "top" defenders actually defend a set piece. Shocking!

The post title is "Roma Game". Unless they think it's about the game a few years back when their players somehow persuaded the ref to change his mind about giving Roma what was an obvious penalty, I dunno what Scousers are doing on here...

As to the game: it was a poor decision to send off Nevland, but he's pants anyway so it didn't really make much odds.

Could someone explain to Claudio Ranieri that commiting a foul during a opposition counter attack doesn't warrant a red card unless it was a dangerous challenge?

And that the only reason his side came away with anything is because they had an extra man. Roma were played off the park until Nevland went. Absolute joke of a decision.

I'd expect it in a league game but this is europe, every team has won the right to be there and it is a great shame that even at that level referees are still spoiling it.

i gree with the fulham manager on the sending offs, but why doesn't he talk about an obvious penalty not given to roma? the fulham player delberately stopped the ball with his hand.

I think we were unlucky and the sendings off a bit harsh but have to be more careful than in PL. But what Roy said about qualification not being in our hands is actually incorrect as if we were to win last two games we would be through - this is a fact - I have looked at the permutations and as Roma play Basle that means that it is still down to what we do. Whether we can actually get two wins is a completely different issue! But COYW lets give it a good shot.

It is even more shocking that you have 5 muppets (refs) in Europa League games...

How can they be so useless?

I agree, 5 muppets and it still took the whole Fulham team to tell that dummy ref that it was Kelly and not Hangeland who committed the foul!!! useless...is a compliment

What a difference a day makes. 2 sent off for Liverpool - no problem.2 sent off for Fulham - big problem! Can't take it, don't give it!

fulham very unlucky to lose, the roma players make me laugh, you have to wonder if they realise, when they're in the dressing room, that they've spent the last 90 minutes falling over and crying, i wouldn't mind too much if they accepted that doing that therefore makes them wet blankets but then they start the macho posturing. you cant have it both ways lads- either stay on your feet and play the hardman or give the floor some attention and play the jessie.

You have to look at the facts Tonytre. 3 should have been yellow, but Carragher pulled back Zamora before he touched the ball, scoring opportunity, red card.
