Haye VS Valuev

Heavy

The heavyweight division is what least interests me but as we know this is one of those exceptional bouts which can attract viewers from various different places. Frankly, i dont think anyone would pay to watch Valuev Vs Chagaev but Haye on pay per view? Hes been talking a big game but can he really beat someone 8 stone heavier and a foot taller not to mention reach.

I know this has been posted many times but considering the fight is only 5 days away, can Haye really do it? Id like to think he can, and i will be watching it on Sky box office like i expect many boxing fans will, regardless of whether your a fan of the Heavyweight division. I think if Haye wins it will give the Heavyweight division a much needed kick up the back side and attract similar audiences to the welterweight and middleweight divisions. Any boxing fan would agree that a healthy Heavyweight division should be the banner for boxing like it was in the past. So, who will it be, Haye or Valuev, realistically!

drsrhino gotta agree with you regarding the Judges in Germany and the Reid v Otke fight. The worst thing is that Otke got to retire with an undefeated record and a national hero in Germany despite being cearly beaten by Reid and Mitchell.

I have a fear this fight could also go the distance and even if Haye has clearly won the fight, the Judges still score it to Valuev. Whereas in the Otke Reid fight the ref was so biased he coonstantly criticised Reid for use of the head and holding, which he did none of, I can imagine the ref is going to let Valuev hold all night long.

A Freddie Roach prediction is always worth listening to but i just can't see it happening - although i'd love it to. Roach is definately right about one thing though - the heavyweight division and boxing in general need Haye to win. I wonder if that might play on a close decision...even in Germany.

Good luck to Haye I really do think he will be the first to knock this giant down and I don't think he will be able to get back up again. Haye is a really good boxer he isn't scared of anyone and fighting Valuev proves this. The mans got BALLS... It's a HUGE risk for Haye to take especally when he has not long moved up to heavyweight, but to make it in this business he has to go for it. This is his big chance. If he takes down Valuev, the Klitschko brothers have got to fight him and it will be for big money and titles will be on the line.

If the Klitschko brothers avoid him they would be COWARDS. And they are not that.

HAYE WON'T LOSE ON SATURDAY. It's time for the heavyweight division to be re-ignigted. And welcome a new british hero.

Good Luck Haye!!! I'll be watching!!!

Either way, if either Haye or Valuev wins, what difference does it really make to the 21st Century heavyweight division? Its long been a joke. Valuev will be very tough to beat for Haye, I don't really make any predictions, apart from the fact that Valuev can still use his size and his fists as a problem for anyone.

The last time I remember the division being good was when a young Tyson was holding all three belts in 1988 and an equally young and brilliant Holyfield was his no. 1 contender

first off im glad this fight is on at a reasonable time of the night otherwise i certainly wouldnt stay up to watch it.
off course we all know whats going to happen dont we???? well i do and i think haye will get robbed on points.all fights held in germany stink off wrong and dodgy decisions in favour off the home fighter.
i believe strongly that a future fight or fights involving value and one or both of the klitschko brothers is all that matters and so haye wont be aloud to spoil them.
fights in germany have no atmosphere at all,the crowd sit silent showing no emotion what so ever.maybe its because they know that ther fighter is going to win even if the other guy wins.corrupt.
