Forest were by far the better side and were denied a blatant penalty in the first half and continued to play the more attractive football. Two easy saves by Lee Camp gave Cardiff hope but their so called wonder man Chopra did nothing of any note apart from a vicious challenge on Lee Camp that should have shown the red card but the referee forgot to bring it with him.Whittingham also deserved a red card for his disgraceful lunge on ex cardiff favourite Chris Gunter
Cardiff scored against the run of play after Billy Davies made a strange substitution taking of Majewski and replacing him with Adebola;this substitution appeared to mess up Forest's dominant midfield allowing Cardiff a foothold in the game. Forest kept on battling away and got their true reward when the man in the mask popped up to score a majestic goal in extra time.
Forest's unbeaten away form continues and it is easy to see why because every player battled hard to the very end to grind out the result.
Not a fan of Billy Davies but he is getting the team to gel now and some nice passing moves in the first half left Cardiff chasing shadows at times.Defence stayed strong although Kelvin Wilson still looks weak in the heart of defence and he shoulkd have scored at the far post from the corner. Midfield dominated until the Adebola change but when Cardiff thought they had the game won we again took hold of midfield creating far more than them in the last ten minutes.
Look forward to a home game on Saturday and another three points for Forest that should see us leapfrog Cardiff after they lose to Swansea.
