How good is that Cameron Smith, over the 2 games I have watched Australia he has looked awesome defensively and with ball in hand.

Felt sick at half time, talk about de ja vu. So much potential in our backs though, I would start with Eastmond, if not at scrum-half, at least a lot closer to the pack, he's wasted out on the wing. Personally, I think the Kiwis will prove at least as hard to beat as the Aussies, those boys are so tough. Though we've still got loads to play for, could still end up with just the two points if we don't do the biz next week.

If you think the Kiwis are going to relinquish their world champions status lightly, you're going to have your hopes smashed.

Steve Kearney has harnessed the usually wayward NZ brilliance and has them playing as a tight, disciplined unit.

They will beat England by 15 next week, then once again beat a Kangaroos team that flatters to deceive.

We are clearly a relatively new team and the second half was very encouraging.
We have got to sort out the number of overseas players in our game especially in the backs. We need experience pace and power. We will not get it until we have our own backs to compete with Aus and NZ.

Totally agree with your comments Bullish - Roby was not effective and we only got moving once Sinfield moved to hooker and starting directing play. Eastmond and Myler have got to be given their chance - on merit, but also because we have nothing to lose !

Do you mean get rid of Inglis to RU? :)

Or do you mean no of overseas players in SL? If we did that, would Ade Gardner become a better winger then?

England need to develop an attitude. Never mind the bigger picture it's about two things tackling & scoring for 80 minutes..no matter what part of the game or score. We never lose, just occasionally don't score enough points quick enough. I have a feeling we are starting to get the idea. Come on you young uns you have the ability to rebrand the England team.

In Myler ThomPkins and Eastmond we have three young half backs who will improve and have a big future in the game, our forwards are more than a match for the Aussies. We just need to produce some decent outside backs and we will be competing with the Aussies and Kiwis on a regular basis<ok>

Totally agree nbair. Mental toughness is as important as the physical side.
England also need to play as a team for the full 80 as opposed to 13 random blokes.

I live in NZ but come from Hull so support England ...... but the kiwis are going to trample over the skinny little English backline i'm afraid, hopefully the kiwis will flop (as they do) but if they play as they did against OZ in the last 2 games (WC and 4 nations) its a hiding for England on the cards.
