comment on the article

Since the inter-county season is well and truly over, as usual we turn to our local teams to fill our GAA appetite over the winter months.

I've been trying to pay attention to County finals outside of Cork on the TV and radio but have only been able to catch a few.

I saw the Kilkenny final last Sunday and I have to say, considering the circumstances it was a good game of hurling.

So who do you guys think will fare well in the provincial/All Ireland championships?

Fair play to Moyle Rovers, great achievement to win the Tipp football county title, hopefully they can continue their form to the Munsters!

Can't see either Tones or Seneschalstown challenging for the All-Ireland. A good run in Leinster would be good.

Ballyhale for the hurling.

Who won the Galway and Mayo football titles? They usually put up a good challenge, but St. Galls seem to be strong too.

Newtown just beat Thurles so it seems they are up for it this year. Am sure they would like a shot off Ballyhale...winkeye.

Ballyboden won the double, they beat Craobh Chiaran in the hurling final today 1-16 - 0-12, I wonder how Keaney is going to manage both now, hes played both up until now.

Tones-Senchalstown sounded like a classic. Replay next Thursday. Winners will have to play the provincial match following Sunday. Tough demands on whoever wins.
