2010 Slam Predictions

I know we still have the Paris Masters 1000 event and the ATP World Tour Finals to come this season, but i already can't wait for next season!

I just wanted to know who you think will win the slams in 2010?

My predictions are:

Australian Open- Roger Federer
French Open- Juan Martin Del Potro
Wimbledon- Roger Federer
US Open- Roger Federer

They're so tough to call for next season - with 5 or 6 real contenders. I've gone with Federer for 3 of them, purely based on the consistency he's shown in the slams in the past few years. People have obviously stated for the past couple of years that he's not as good as he once was, but he has always performed at the slams and he seems like a reliable choice lol.

Now that Del Potro has a slam under his belt, i think he could get another one next season (at the French). I know that Rafa is a different proposition on clay, but Del Potro seems to have the measure of him now and he pushed Federer very close at the French this year.

So what are yours?

Wim - Fed def. Muz
US - Fed def. Djok

Paris - Davy def. Nadal
Lon - Fed def. Djok

I see Fed dominating for another year beacuse when he really wants to and when it really matters he finds a way to win.

No no fancies Fed for the French, thats a bit surprising, he may play with less fear now than before.
Anyway I think

AO-Fed beats Del Potro
FO-Nadal beats Fed(just)
Wimb-Fed beats Nadal
US-Fed beats Murray.

Australian Open: Djokovic
Roland Garros: Nadal
Wimbledon: Federer
US OPen: Murray

Unfortunately I think Del Potro will be plagued by injuries next year and will not be able to win any slam again. As for Murray he will win one slam(I think his best chance is US open again)provided the media do not make a big deal of it like this year the month preceding the US open. Let him get on with his business and he will prevail but its too much media pressure for one guy bearing the weight of 60 million people on his shoulders. Inevitably the media pressure will be there for wimbledon but for the US open the media can control themselves. can't they?
