ok then, who has had the biggest impact on the world in the last 1000 years ?
is it england, the greatest superpower in the history of human civilization, or is it australia - essentially a third world country whose land was given to them as a gift by england ?

<<ok then, who has had the biggest impact on the world in the last 1000 years ?>>

That wasn't the question.

The answer to the new question is England. And that would be no thanks to the likes of you who cannot even perform a simple analysis of a two dimensional ledger, let alone get a single fact correct.

So what?

I'm on a million billion gazillion pounds a year and I have an IQ of 43,637 and I have a 13 incher in my shorts (I measured it last night).

And you can't prove otherwise because I'm hiding behind my keyboard and you've got nothing else to go on but my words on this site.

So there.

well it did actually as he is a multi millionaire.

i on the other hand am a mere professional.

i do not purport to be the chairman of a board of directors; chairmanoftheboard just seemed like a good ficitonal name.

this thread seems to have gone a bit off topic.

If you are glad it's over, then why follow it in the first place.

We had a bad day. Pure and simple. Have a bad day at this level and you suffer the consequences.

What gets me are the people who jump on the bandwagon and slate a team that managed to get to the semis.

Yes, we lost and lost badly. But the slagging off on here regarding the loss is just the opposite extreme of the "worldbeaters" rubbish.

Teams are either worldbeaters or pathetic losers. There never seems to be any in-between as far as these boards go.

Really these comments reflect the mean-mindedness of the posters, not the reality of the state of the English team.

The games of the last few months have proved that we can beat Australia in test matches but not in ODI games.

So what.

It is just a game. There has to be a winner and a loser. Just like in every other aspect of life.

We lost this time. It doesn't mean we will lose next time.

These keyboard warriors are really starting to ruin this board. Where is the old "IGNORE" button when you need it?

And where does all the hate come from. Maybe you are all younger and more fired up/tanked up than me, but I find it difficult to denigrate a whole country, or indeed "hate" anyone because of some blokes knocking a ball around a field.
