You have heard it here first. It's on the ticker of the BBC sport page now link coming soon. Massa is going karting, and is unbelievabley and sensationally targeting the last race of the season in the UAE, Abu Dhabi, on 1st November to make his return!!!!!!!!! This just shows how resilient the human body really is what an achievement to be targeting that. I want to wish Massa good luck with the rest of his recovery, and astonisment at he may turn up in the UAE

Ah okay, my apologies I've read the article vis a vis the laps, I'm not sure the OP reflected the substance of its content, but my mistake.

I have already seen an article this morning saying that he had tested the kart and had done five laps, only coming in because it started to rain

All the comments about not rushing his comeback, the risks etc are valid BUT.

He can only race subject to an FIA medical examination which are taken very seriously indeed, so as long as he passes that I see no irresponsible risks.

I favour Massa getting back in a racing car as soon as he can to overcome the lingering memories of his accident and to focus on Formula One again as soon as possible.

______________

Do those Karts sound anyway, after having ruined that spring with the forehead?
