Daggers fan in peace.
What’s the news on Dean Ashton, is he coming back or retiring?
Good player, hope he will be back soon.

I saw him at esporta gym in romford last week and he was still limping! I really hope it isnt the end of his career because he really is the missing link in the england team at the moment.

Are ye english ever pleased??? ye've strolled through the group stages with minimal effort and smashed croatia twice during this time, yet ye feel the need to still mention "missing links"!

Brilliant news !

Gobby ol' SAF is gonna die before Sunday 13.30 !

He did say that he'd be dead before City were better than his team no ??????

You do know that beating a team once doesn't make you a better club dont you.
Please City fans, Go the same way as the sour scousers who dont mind United winning the league and winning nothing if they beat United twice in a season.

No offence but I doubt that...even if he gets fit.

It's pointless saying that I come in peace, as you will slate me for saying that Dean Ashton has never been international quality. He certainly won't be now, I'm afraid. I wish him all the best, but he is a good club player, no more.
Also, as Calum Davenport played for both of our clubs, it is good to see him out of hospital. I hope he makes a full recovery.

That's YOUR opinion but I think I'd rather trust the judgement(s) of Capello (& McClaren yikes ) and my own eyes than yours. winkeye

ok

Having said that, if/when he DOES return - Fergie will probably come sniffing again ... sadface

Who said I was 'getting my hopes up'?

It's such a shame that a talent such as Ashton won't ever hit the heights in his career that he would have undoubtedly wanted. Injury is a cruel thing and I think fans of all clubs can appreciate that.
