your expecting teams to come down here and roll over. your expecting them to let rhodes and simpson score. with some of the comments i heard today, what will you be saying when we lose a game?you could tell who were the real fans today. We could have so easily lost today, so from the performance point of view im happy with a draw. Well done to brentford, good side, good luck.

Still frustrated! Town can't make simple short passes once again.
It's ok to have Steve Black and Kiwomya working wonders on hugging each other before a match and running for 90 mins, but ffs practice short simple passes to feet!
If I couldn't do the basics of my job i'd be on the rock and roll!
Yes it's a pressurised environment but you are professional footballers!
Rant over, UTT ok

I was absolutely disgusted with the attitude of some Town fans yesterday. I can confirm that there was some booing in some sections of the Antich at the final whistle which just beggared belief.

Brentford came with the mentallity of sticking 11 men behind the ball and we just didn't have that killer finish to wrap the game up. Apart from Roberts, who in my opinion had a shocker, everyone else was solid, Skarz didn't do much wrong so I don't know why everyone is having a cry about his MOM. Also I'd like to know who the complete idiot is who sits in the Antich and constantly barracks the team. I sit in Row M seat 222 and this man sits with his kid one row behind me and about 6 rows to the right. Never has a good word to say about Town.

I take my hat off to Brentford, they are like our Town side of last season, good enough squad but completely lacking up front, to miss two complete sitters was just offensive! I also agree with whoever pointed out about the timewasting. I don't have time for it, if it comes from the Town players or the other side.

Good luck to Brentford for the rest of the season, and for those Town fans who gave the lads a booing at full time. You can hang your head in shame.

AntichFaithfull

You are accusing people of booing which, whether you like it or not, is their prerogative.

However, your explanation for the result yesterday could label you a Job’s comforter, which effectively puts you in the same bracket as the boo boys.

If Brentford are, as you describe, a team with a good enough squad but completely lacking up front, and they came with the mentality of sticking 11 men behind the ball, then all the teams Town have yet to play at home might take note, and the season at the Galpharm Stadium promises another 19 goalless draws… unless of course some of those teams manage to convert their two complete sitters.

There’s got to be more to it than that, surely.

I didn't hear any booing but I echo the sentiments posted above. HANG YOUR HEADS IN SHAME, you are a DISGRACE. Thought the singing section were superb, particularly in the 1st half.

Our final balls let us down, almost every one was short or misplaced. Other than that, the performance was good against a very hard working and well organised Brentford side who had clearly come to draw. The time wasting by their substituted player clapping as he crawled off the pitch was disgraceful.

As soon as we've failed to bang in a few goals against a Brentford team people were expecting us to walk over people are having a cry that we are doing this wrong, that we aren't doing this right and that was lacking. For God's sake we can't always play out of our skin. Brentford were a good side and people can't seem to accept that.

I'm aware that it's peoples perogative to boo, but just saying that I find it a bit out of order. I wasn't aware that I wasn't allowed to voice my opinion on this board.

Stop looking so much into this draw people.

can i ask what was with town and the pee poor atempt at passing yesterday? midfield and gary roberts in particular either passed to the oppo, behind whoever had a run through or too far infront. it was god awful.

We were dire yesterday. Yeah I know Brentford tactics were spot on, but the inability to play a simple pass was shocking yesterday and the midfield was easily over run by Brentfords who could have come away with 3 points today. Roberts wasn't on form at all as well and the standard of crossing coming in the box was poor from him.

Kay was once again poor in my eyes. Clark says he hasn't hit the heights he did at tranmere so why is he playing?? We can't afford to wait forever for him when in my eyes we have James Berrett on the bench who can do a better job than him. He doesn't seem to want the ball off the back four when they have have it and therefore route one ensues where Clarke belts it up to theo who will use his pace to try and win it in a good position for us. He also doesnt seem to win any 50:50's and plays loose passes. Route one will not work with brentford's players and tactics.

lee Clark should have also changed the tactics when it showed that it wasn't working yesterday. Instead he just changed like for like players, which he always seems to do and Brentford can relax knowing they have nothing to worry about. I presume his response to this will be 'we'll let their defenders have something else to think about'. When the tactics are still the same Clark I'm pretty sure the impact will be little. And since you do it most of the matches we've played so far their defenders are going to know about the repetitive substitution anyway. If a team comes here to frustrate us Clark then its your job to ensure that this doesn't happen!!

Just because we could have lost the game doesn't mean we should be happy with a point. It was a poor performance and I was glad when the final whistle came because if it lasted any longer we would have actually lost the game.

the breaks we had were just not quick enough..
it was nearly impossible to play the ball on the ground behind them as they dropped deep and their centre halves wre dominant..
the best we played was when it was going wide to pilkington and trying to get behind them to get the ball into the box..
thought peltier did badly against his man and that robinson looked injured from the start..
star man again was p clarke, which is worrying..
when they sit and look at you , the play just has to be quicker to get behind them and everytime we slow it down we lose it ..
still, rhodes should have scored and novak at the end so its not all bad..
im off to millwall and walsall and i think we are set up to play better away from home so im still looking forward to it..
Yesterday, Novak or simpson should have come on a lot earlier for theo, he wasnt right, and clark should have really pressed on them to get some more urgency into the forward play..
Agree with others that we would have lost it last year so its an improvement for us even on a bad day..

On the way home listening to clarke he said Rhodes and robinson weren't fully fit.
So why didn't we start with Novak and Simpson up front?
Brentford did their homework on Rhodes and Theo, so why didn't he throw a spanner in the works and confuse them at the last minute? Then we could have brought Theo and Rhodes on later in the game if need be.
What do I Know anyway but this seems like common sense to me.
Btw I bought the my 5 year old lad the full kit yesterday costing me £56 scandalous for the size of the kit.yikes
