Lorenzo's Lucky Win!!!!

Clearly it must have been luck as according to 90% of posters on this forum, he'd cracked and handed the championship to Rossi.

Or was Rossi simply 'sandbagging' again!!!!

I for one thought this was an excellent win, which has relit the championship. Yes, clearly Rossi is still favourite but then again, maybe he cracked under pressure and Jorgé is now the man.(You'll have to excuse the sarcasm, I'm just bored of the Jonny come latelies who keep telling us how great Rossi is - Wake up people, we already know!).

Yep, strange and uncharacteristic crash from Dani (although excellent recovery to finish 10th) and Rossi's crash looked a bit odd too but on this occasion, his luck had run out!

It's certainly kicked into touch any doubts about Lorenzo's ability (and don't get on your high horses, I'm not saying he's better than Rossi on the strength of one win) but I do wish that some people would be a bit more objective in their posts than a simple 'Rossi is God' and 'No one can touch him'.

This race simply proves that the man is human and that Jorgé is a very real contender.

It definately makes that championship much more exciting for the remaining 5 races.

Now lets wait for the usual drivel of a post from a certain Legend!!

It's a classic and a real belly tickler!!!

You’re so naïve – next you’ll be saying that Rossi’s crash at Indy was real!

We all know that there was pressure on Rossi, from the money men, to put some excitement back into the championship. And guess what; it worked – all the bloggers were suckered in reporting on how exciting the championship is now.

Ian - as you said, Melandri, yep on a decent bike (kinda like Pedrosa) a race winner but not the championship.

Spies - I'm not convinced. WSB isn't up to a lot these days and I'm not sure I believe the hype. Hopefully I'm wrong and he'll shake things up a bit.

Hayden - Agreed - not unless the usual protagonists DNF and Colin has a mare. Can't see it happening. Indi was his back yard and if he can't do it there, then he ain't doing it anywhere. Be lucky to make top 5 the rest of the season!!!!

Yep kl Ian lol I get it, but right now, I cant agree with anyone who says that Lorenzo is better than Stoner on that sole topic, but otherwise...yeh its gd :D

Haha, is that the Leg-ends alter-ego writing to us to tke the mick out of us?!?!?!? Rofl, I can imagine Vale sitting at a desk with the thumbscrews on in a small room whilst big heavies walk around him telling him "crash or the next time you have a REAL one, you will not get up from it" :) Made my day that comment, I guess Stoner is faking his illness, or MotoGP is actually a figment of our imagination! Or that 5 races left, 25 the gap and all that conspiracy bull****. Ian, haha get 76100plus200 (whatever he is) back on these boards so I can P.I.Stake him about Rossi again :)

PS. You jst made me bare happy from reading that, but we'll be arguing Stoner vs Lorenzo over and over agin until I jack off 2 uni nxt yr ;)

Daggers - Unfortunately Casey doesn't appear to be able to hack the pace at the moment, so it's case closed for the time being.

I guess if you include 2008 that makes it 1-1 but my money is on Lorenzo!

daggers - no worries mate.
wyno - u were a bit rough with the fella :)

That guy is side splittingly funny. "I worked in advertising blah, blah", heck my brother went out with Jenson buttons cousin but he ain't no F1 driver.

Still lets not name drop <laugh>, I hate F1.

Lorenzo/Stoner/Pedrosa - It's not clear cut by any stretch and as you say no winner just a "he is/he isn't".

Me I like racers, pure and simple. I'd like to think I can appreciate the qualities of all and then it's just an amatuer view on "my percieved" differences. Of course I have my favourites like everyone, I mean my dog's name is "Rossi".
I nearly called the other "Biaggi" but it just didn't suit and "Stoner" seems to point to other things.

Lets hope 7x6plus posts again. He's worth his weight in gold.

sporty - that may be but as bananas are bananas and not cocunuts, Nicky Hayden WILL NOT WIN A MOTOGP race baring a major catastrophe to at least 4 of the current top 4 riders.

Of course it's ludicrous to say such a thing in a sport that can change in an instant (Indy comes to mind) but that's my view and I'm sticking to it.

Nicky wont win...theres going to be something very gutsy involving Rossi falling off and then Nicky on his Ducati barging Edwards into the gravel at the final corner...but at best its only going to be for 2nd. lol :)

wyno, remember we're stil holding our word about the 6th winner this year, maybe you were rite abt Edwards after all bt ill w8 n c ;)

THAT is GREAT news that nicky haydn as sigend a new contract with ducati,WITH casey stoner out at the moment he is no 1 rider at ducati & he took on a new challenge this yr with ducati,I am sure nicky realised it was going to be hard when he put pen to paper last winter after what happen with marco melandri last yr.DUCATI is the hardest bike on the moto GP grid to ride.
