A left midfielder??? Does this mean we would push pienaar to the right or what??
-----------------------------------------
It doesn't mean he has to play on the left just because he's left footed. I think you'll find he won't be a winger.

Looks like Everton have got a handy left-footed player who could cover for Pienaar or play down the middle, and he'll get goals (Everton do seem to spread the goals around don't they?). Haven't seen him play so no idea if he's worth £10m but I'm pretty sure they can get a defender almost as good as Lescott for £10m and they've still turned a profit.

Hey Chelsea/Russia fan in peace...

the guy is quality but please don't be under illusion (acc. to ss news) that the guy is a left winger, never was, never will be.

he is a dominant centre midfielder with a lot of quality on the ball and willing runner, the guy shoots hard, takes free kicks and pens.

he might frustrate some of the toffees as he is often found walking on the pitch and his work ethic and attitude are questionable.

but if you were looking for modric/fabregas type of player - he fits the mould.

would be a shame to see him pushed out on the left wing.

Excuse me?..those 2 paragraphs are basically contradictory, and I don't see how someone can get the reputation of being lazy when he has all the attributes you suggest.

Actually the way you describe him he is a carbon copy of Steven Gerrard - do you see SG moping around on the pitch?

As far as I can see it's the most promising buy for years, just in time.

Weather the guy is left or right matters but not relevant for Everton at moment due to their performance. As long as he can rescue them from abyss is the concern.

Congratulations on signing a good player to help with this season. Most impressive is that this is the first we've heard of htis transfer. Mark Hughes and Man City please take note.

Pienaar has always been strong on either side, so that doesn't matter too much. Arteta is also strong in the middle. If the Russian is class, we could have him on the left, Pienaar on the right, and with all our strikers constantly injured and us only ever seeming to play well when we've no strikers, we could just rotate the Yaka and Haha playing only one upfront and have Artet, in the middle eith Cahill and Fellaini either side of him but in a more attcking role, like last year

The transfer fee, according to our(Russian) media is around J9 mlns.

His best position is not a winger , but not a central midfielder as well.
In his best season 2 or 3 years ago he played left in the middle 3.
So it`s still an open question where his best position is.

Yes, he played 10 out of 12 qualifying on the road to EC_2008. But had always struggled to produce an impressive perfomance.
He became Lokomotiv captain last year, but has never shined since that and Lokomotiv finished in the midtable.

That`s why he has finally lost his place in the Russian squad during the current qualifying campaign.

On this basis I`d doubt his ability to make a breakthrough in England, in Everton.

Our season started after the summer break 2 months ago and Lokomotiv have brought back
their legendary manager -Yuri Semin, who promote Diniar to the first team many years ago.
At the same moment Diniar has recovered from injury and was ready to start. He did, he has played every game since that and has scored 3 goals or something like that and looked very good.

That`s was immideately mentioned by Hiddink, who brought him back into the squad for games against Linchinstein and Wales in september.

And now..... he`s suddenly make a move for Everton.

MAybe it`s the best moment for him to move, will see.

And Everton fans can go to Cardiff and support him and Russia on the 9th of September there.
