Live text - Scottish Premier League

Scottish Premier
comment on the article

Welcome to the second week of the Scottish Premier League season.

Last week offered some excellent goals, red cards, late drama, and dream debuts. Let's hope today is just as exciting.

First up, it's the lunchtime kick-off between Falkirk and Hibernian. Hibs boss John Hughes returns to the club he left in the summer and could name former Bairns player Anthony Stokes in the starting line-up after the striker joined from Sunderland on Friday.

Eddie May, a former Hibs player, will be in the home dugout overseeing his first home league match as Falkirk manager.

Later in the afternoon, Celtic host newly-promoted St Johnstone, Hamilton and Aberdeen will hope to overcome opening-day defeats when they face each other at New Douglas Park, Kilmarnock travel to Motherwell and St Mirren entertain Dundee United.

As usual, we want to know what you think so join the debate...

Frustrating or what? We can't publish anything on the sport site at the moment. Thankfully, My Sport and 606 work on a different platform. Sorry for the delays... Do you have a number for NASA, by the way?

Good work from the commentators at St Mirren vs Dundee United.

United subbed Cadamarteri off and brought on Casalinouvo, the commentators admitted to not knowing him and said "I think he's Italian."

He's Argentinian. erm

In fairness Shaun - did you see our defence last week? I think we might actually trouble them going forward, but I worry for us at the back without Rutkiewicz (who, incidentally is playing King Tuts on Sunday night! - http://www.kingtuts.co.uk/) ....it might be high scoring, but I can't see us taking anything from it. It could be 4 or 5-2, even with their European hangover. My heart of course says we will win 10-0, so we'll just have to wait and see.

...if only I'd backed that prediction financially. Although - I think 6-2 is very probable at this rate.
