The new consortium rumours have been confirmed on the official site and we're waiting for the purchase to be completed. Sounds promising and gives new hope. The Doc may or may not be involved but who cares anymore!

If and that's a big if the people in the consortiums involved own less than 10% each, none of them will need to carry out the F&PP test.

I dont care who takes over as long as the club does well. Wityh all that the club's been through we need a period of stability.

i am glad Peter storrie is involved as he has been great servant to the club and and steered us through these recent hard times the russian 'billionaire' never was really interested that much and the 'dr' is full of it ... so i am happy that there is a silver lining perhaps the old relic we call fratton park can be just that a bit of history ...new stadium..... fingers crossed!! even stoke show us up in that dept.. sorry stoke pls no offence..??

Pompey are in a terrible place at the moment. Their hopes, dreams and aspirations are all on hold as the good Dr refuses to show his hand. They have administration written all over them and it could be what this consortium are waiting on...club at a knock down price. If an admin induced points deduction doens't get them relegated, then their ability on the pitch will.
I feel sorry for them as I do enjoy a day out a fratton park, and the fans are passionate about the club. However, they are selling their best players to survive, are almost relying on handouts and charity for replacments and the ground is decrepit...they don't have much going for them at the minute...Very sad

I heard a rumour after the Radio Solent forum that he and David Dein were lined up to takeover the club in a consortium.

Now Dein may now have a bottomless pocket like Man City, but he'd have contacts!

I look at this as GOOD news.
Peter Storrie has been at the club for nearly 20 years and is probably privvy to the most sensitive of financial information.

The fact that he is prepared to head a consortium to buy the club fills me with confidence about the future. After all, a man in his position, with his knowledge is hardly going to invest it in a club that's on its knees is he?!

Heard Peter Storrie on the forum ,he seems to want the best for the club. Everyone knows Harry bought sucess WHICH COST THE CLUB DEARLY but the money coming into fratton park is just not enough.IF THEY CAN STOP THE ROT THEY HAVE A CHANCE FOR THE FUTURE.WHO WANTS A FOREIGN BUYER WHO WALKS AWAY WHEN HE GETS BORED. NOT ME.
