Dyson Sacked!!!!!!!!

West Indies

The board have sacked coach John Dyson. Instead of wielding their axe on one of our better and most successful coaches in recent years. They should have sacked themselves. The board have made mistake upon mistake and this just follows suit. I'm seriously worried this could be the end of cricket for Windies. The players responded to him. We are a joke and for the first time in 30 Years I am completely and utterly disenchanted by the state of West Indies Cricket! I thought we'd turned the corner when we beat England in February. It's the complete opposite. Unless the board go, we're finished. Our best players will play IPL and become Kolpak players. I'm officially depressed about the last few months and this is the final nail in the coffin!

So let me get this straight, Dyson is the fallguy for the miscalculation of handing England one of their few successes in the Caribbean, then give the reasons of losing a home series against Bangladesh.

Am i missing something, because last time i checked, it wasn't the Coach that picked that amateur Club Team, but the Selectors, whose hand was forced by you guessed it, the WICB!!!

So thank you Board-members, for effectively killing West Indies Cricket. I don't blame the Trinis for wanting to go it alone after dealing with these bunch of jokers.

I couldn't agree more with SkippaLansi. What I need to know is how do we get rid of the WICB? I don't understand why we can't all vote them out and get some decent people who actually care about WI cricket onto there, those guys are a waste of space. Dyson is the best coach we've had in years. If everyone got sacked for one mistake none of the board would be there, they'd all be long gone. We need some action before they finish WI cricket forever.

I have no idea whether he was a good coach or bad coach but given the current state of West Indies cricket the timing couldn't be worse.

Between the board, which are a laughing stock, and the confrontational players association they are trying to kill West Indies cricket.

It is conspicuous that EVERY comment says that the coach was a success and the board are a flop.

The lunacy and dysfunction continues.

The dynamic of bruised egos and petty reprisals continue.

I am in agreement with the WICB SACKING OF John Dyson and would like to commend them for making this bold move.

With West Indies cricket walloping in the mire designed by the WICB, WIPA and the silly fist team players led by Chris Gayle, it would have been unkind and 'unWest Indian' (we are known to be generous to our visitors)to allow such good a coach to waste his time and talent with administrators and players who lack basic common sense.

Sad to say this to Mr. Dyson, but you have been done a favour. Pack your bags and get the hell away from these stupid people.

Welcome back Mr. Lance Gibbs and Mr. Davd Williams, i am looking forward to the contribution you both will make to further the decline of West indies cricket.

OK now I've heard it all, I can't believe you guys are really West Indians, you all sound like a hopeless bunch of sufferers stretching out your hands to the great white hope to come pull you all out poverty or something. John Dyson should have been fired a long time ago with that DL what you describe it as? Debacle? please no bloody experienced INTERNATIONAL cricket coach should make such a simple schoolboy mistake and you all know it! Had he been the england or hmmmm lets say the Australian coach he would have had a job to start with so please my Caribbean people one can only come to the Caribbean and do such things and get away with it. Now, as for the WICB and WIPA they all need to thrown in the very depth of the Atlantic and left there more so the WICB whom I believe should have the interest of "West Indies" cricket as their foremost priority as most of them were former players and should know whats needed! Colin Croft said it best during the England tour of the Caribbean, " The west Indies Players had been thought how not to play like West Indians over the past 10-15 years because of all these so call foreign coaches," read through the lines people and wake up! when our boys were on top they never had any appointed coach and they played like masters, not saying they don't need any but we need to knuckle down and get on with our cricket but first we have to sort out these old boys that calls themselves the WICB! I come from a long line of cricket and it burns me to see and hear this sort of nonsense and i don't think there is anyone who's as passionate about West indies cricket as i am.

John Dyson deserves to be uncerimoniously sacked. If you are not smart enough to undestand Duckworth/Lewis, you are not smart enough to be coach.

If you can foolishly throw a match, you should not be surprised if you are asked to leave!

You obviously have a problem with foreigners been involved with West Indies cricket.

So you will be happy when Digicel stop sponsoring the West Indies cricket team as Digicel is an Irish mobile phone company.

You were also not happy when the Chinese government helped to build the Vivian Richardís cricket ground in Antigua.

You are happy to quote a West Indian cricketer, who went to South Africa in 1980s for US$100,000 blood money on 2 rebel tours.

I think your answer to John Dysonís sacking will make Dr. Julian Hunte, happy to hear and prove to me why West Indian cricket will die because certain West Indians have a narrow mind about someone from overseas telling them what to do.

It is why most countries in the Caribbean have to go to IMF (International Monetary Fund) with a begging bowl.

BEYOD THE BOUNDARY

Unfortunately, this is what we the paying spectators are forced to accept. For those of us who have travelled throughout the islands in support because of the love for the game, I say congratulations because we will no longer have to waste our money.
The lack of interest and selfishness by Chris Gayle, WIPA's President grouse with the board and the WIBC board has brought this all.
It therefore looks very likely that West Indies cricket is now no longer BEYOND THE BOUNDRY but OUTSIDE THE PARK.This is very sad but not totally unexpected
