the 1923rd article on Delph

Premier League Aston Villa
comment on the article

Leeds fan, if it turns out you get Delph, you've bought a quality footballer. Villa are by far and away my favourite prem team right now, im so pleased hes going to you rather than the thieves (spurs) or the riches (city)

The core of the team is ENGLISH just how it should be in an ENGLISH league.

Ive no doubt O Neil will be able to develop Delph well, even if he isnt a regular.

If the fee is 5million (reported 6million offers) that will go a heck of a way in getting us back to the prem. If anything the sale of Delph is good for us, our midfield was too weak with Delph and Kilkenny (both attack minded) and we dont have that rock in the middle. He was a luxury player i'd love to still have here, but to the team is not a massive loss

5million would get us a DCM in, get us up through L1 and there would be plenty to spend on having a good first season in the championship

For the record, we have to buy Thorpe Arch back by october. This fee will not get us it back, we've had plans in the last few years to get this money without resorting to a wonderkid coming through ;)

goodluck next season,i hope to watch Villa and Delph do very well in the premiership :)

I am glad that young Fabian has chosen Villa over the Trash with cash (Citeh). I wish him well and i'm sure that MON and Villa will be a good move for him.
As an Everton fan I am a tad disappointed that we could,'t get our act together as fabian was a key target od David Moyes. Everton or Villa would have given him a better chance to progress than the Trash with cash, so even though I am a bit down that we didn't get him, i'm glad that Villa did. So good luck and lets hope we see him in South Africa next year.

I'm glad he's gone to Villa tbh. I like the fact that the club play more English players in the PL than most others do and he certainly looks a prospect. Best of luck to him.

Think Villa have signed a real talent here, will go on to be a top player if he stays under MON's guidance. It's refreshing to see him join Villa over City aswell when his head could have easily been turned by the money.

Think that's a dig at City coming in and saying they'll pay double what anyone else will. And not putting it in all tha papers and talking with the agent behind their backs etc. etc. (not that City would necessarily do that). Nice to hear clubs actually getting on instead of players twittering and accusing each other of tapping up etc.
