In what is possibly the most surprising move of the summer former England manager Sven-Goran Eriksson has joined Notts County as director of football.
The Magpies were taken over by Middle-Eastern consortium Munto Finance a week ago and the club's new owners have wasted little time in signaling their ambition with the capture of Eriksson.
The 61-year-old's CV contains some of the most famous names in European football including Roma, Benfica, Lazio and Manchester City.
But how well will a career spent at Europe's elite have prepared Eriksson for a spell in League Two at a club which flirted with relegation last season?
The club said the Swede's remuneration will be determined by the success of the team.
Do Notts fans expect instant success?
The spotlight will burn brightly on Meadow Lane this season with fans all over the world looking to see how things pan-out under Eriksson.
With such a high profile name coming to League Two how exciting is this appointment for Football League fans in general?
