about time somebody said this as well. I completely agree with what Fergie says-and i am a Liverpool fan. No way in hell are Man City even a threat to the top 4. Us and Chelsea will be the closest competition to Man Utd. Man city, and for the deluded city fans who think they will qualify for champions league, think again.

It takes more than just money to win a title-the players have to gel well. Unfortunately the players you have signed are their for the big green papers you are waving at them. Stick to fighting it out to qualify for the Europa League kids, Leave the big boys to fight it out for the title this year.

What do the rest of you think?

How will a team whose biggest achievement in the last decade wasbeating Man Utd 2twice in one season suddenly win the league!

Fergie's comments with regard to Man City/Tevez are silly/ sour grapes.

He should have spent 25m on Tevez if he wished a valid position.

Look he wanted Tevez but at 10m. He knows what he has thrown away, mucking Tevez and Man Utd fans around. If he lost little, he wouldn't be making sour grapes slurs against a rival big club.

Ferguson is a sad and bitter old man, he should have quit last season after Utd had "bought" the two big prizes.

... thats what they said about the 'Special one' and Abramovich's billions - Blackburn 'bought' the title in the 1990's too. Fergie should kep his mouth shut on this one. Last thing needed is a specially motivated city team to take on united. Their record against united has been pretty good this millenium.

I agree with that but it should be a cracking match! I'm really looking forward to it.

Well speaking as a united fan i would have to say if United,Chelsea,Liverpool and Arsenal are all as inconsistent as last season and City get there game together then there's a high chance they could cause a real upset they have some quality players there
------------------

So what you are saying here is - if all the teams above city were poor and city played well, that city could have a chance of an upset - well if i pick the right lottory numbers and no one else does, then i will have a good chance of winning...
it is just a stupid broad statement.

Hughes has already shown in both his results last season (after already spending 100mill in upgrades to the team - his statement at xmas, that the players brought in were his choice and his team etc - ended up just making 10th position - 24 points & 20 goals behind 4th place)

Arsenal with a season of injuries to key players, ended up about 15 points behind 3rd place, and about another 10 points would have got you to first position.

So you city fans think that the players brought in will catch up 40 points and 36 goals in one season with Hughes as manager to win the EPL?

That is a hell of an achievement if it can be done.
