Apparantly Mido is questionning his image rights and what he gets paid - I think he is hoping he gets paid by the square inch

Here just been counting how many days it is til we play Sheff U and it's only 18 days. We'll need to get Rob Hulse in buy then.

But i hope Alves decides to stay.

Alves doesnt want to be here, he showed that by returning late for training and only doing that on duress. I imagine he plans to cause as much trouble as possible until he gets a move, quite possiblt to high wage paying Arab club.

I#m not sure he will score in CCC. He couldnt cope with the physical demands of the Premiership so God knows how he will fair in the CCC. The likes of Chris Morgan will bring him to tears.

I disagree, I think he will survive. One thing he has got is a decent footballing brain and knows where to make the right runs, I think he will have made himself a yard before the likes of Morgan gets near him.

Lets remember he will be up against lesser defenders.

How successful he is will depend largely on how motivated he is.

He may just sulk and remain anonymous in matches and end up warming the bench for most of the season.

On the other hand, he may react positively and play out of his skin in attempt to get noticed.

Lets hope its the latter, eh?

As my mate just said....we could probably get more than £3million by selling his body parts to medical science.

Seriously we should look to keep him until January to give him chance to score quite a few in the championship, and then get rid quick before (hopefully) getting promoted again. He just can't hack it in the prem.

Reckon he'll go to a top flight team in Portugal, Germany or Holland again for a decent price.

No one is going to pay what we want for him at the moment.

i remember reading an interview with Gibson in the gazzette and he stated that it was Gibson that wanted alves to the point of paying 12m for him, apparently southgate wasnt prepared to pay that for him
