Rosicky + Eduardo = New Signings

Arsenal
comment on the article

Adebayor has gone... but we now have Eduardo & Rosicky In Full Training ... well Eduardo starts Monday but Tomas 'Porcelain' Rosicky is back after 18months!

Now this means one of a few things.
either Nasri will lose his spot... and rosicky & arshavin will be attacking midfielders..

or

Denilson loses spot, nasri goes central, rosicky and arhavin on the attack wings and van persie and walcott upfront..

or

Rosicky and Nasri on the attacking wings with arshavin and van persie upfront...

------------
alternatively we could sign Marouane Chamakh..Huntelaar..Eto'o ..or Ba and not have to worry about who's going to partner Van Persie upfront...

Eduardo will be good but it will take quite awhile for him to be back to his fully best....

I dont understand why we are so worried about "debt"?

Dont Chelsea have debt? Dont Man Utd have Debt? Dont R Madrid have debt? Their entire team(s) were built almost purely on rent!

I'm against these forms of "teambuilding" but I believe its time for us just to go out and spend a serious 20-25million on a quality player that we need the most(which I believe is a good Central Midfielder in the mode of Viera.) Its not reckless spending, and I still trust Arsene can spend his money wisely. For long, anything >20m is a total write-off for us, which I believe should not be necessary,

OK Arsenaldan89!!!!

Missing the point really.

What I'm saying is Rosicky playing against Barnet is not that important, it's just another practice match. He will be fit by end August maybe September at worst.
Did I say he wasnt a good player, a bad passer, not good for the team..... NO !

What is important is that we let Adebayor go to our nearest challengers for 4th spot for 25m. 25m is what you lose if you dont qualify for champions league.
We just made forth last year thanks to Villa crumble. We must strenthen and Etoo would be perfect. If it takes 25m so what thats what we got for Ade and Etoo is miles better.

there is fans and there is fans who know what their talking about.

your neaither I suspect.

"Who care's about a friendly kick about and Rosicky's fitness right now!!!"
-----

To me that sounds as though you don't care about Rosicky, I may be wrong but you can propably see why.

Friendlies are important for a number of reasons.
For instence, they let players get back to match fitness after their holidays, they let new players or returning players get to know the team better and they let the manager assess the situation in term of strengths and weaknesses, what tactics to use, who's in form, who isn't, etc etc.
I think that if AW makes ANY big signing, it would be after these friendlies so that he knows what we are missing.
Whether it's against Barnet or Man U, friendlies are still a neccessity at the start of a season.

Man City will not be our nearest challengers this season, I can guarentee it. If anyone it will be Everton.
Man City have bought 3 strikers, 3 strikers who last season score a total of 19 goals in the PL last season. That have bought alot of players who are driven by money, and if Ade wasn't motivated for us, he deffinately wont be for them. City are rebuilding their squad so nothing major should be expected and the players will need time to gel. I predict a 6th place finish, 5th if they're lucky.

Villa have lost 2 of their best players, Barry and Laursen, and they don't look like they are replacing them anytime soon.
What they did in the first half last season was quite incredable, but the size of the squad showed when the fatigue started setting in. This problem i'm afraid will be the downfall once again for Villa, especially when they have lost a couple more players, making their squad even smaller. I predict 7th for Villa, I think they'll just face the same problems as last year.

Everton are by far the strongest team in the 5th-7th area. They have gradually built a team that can fight of the likes of the top 4 and can shrug off anybody around them. They sustained a lot of injuries last season to their main strikers and if they can keep them fit all season, I think they will be the ones to try and break into the top 4. I predict 5th maybe 4th if they keep players fit and get a good position by Christmas.

Now back to my point. Selling one of our players to one of our "challengers" wont really make a difference to us. Ade was a disruptive force in the dressing room and clearly wanted out of the club. I wish him luck at City because he has been a good player for us, not amazing, but good. I have clearly pointed out why it will be hard for our nearest challengers to break into the top 4. And why do everyone think it will be us to fall out of the top 4? why not Liverpool, Chelsea or Man U? None of these team have strengthened their squads more than us. Liverpool have no backup for Torres or Gerrard and just bought GLEN JOHNSON, Chelski have only bought one player, brought in a new manager and have a very ageing squad, and Man U have lost Ronaldo and brought in Owen and Valencia. So at this moments, the top 4 are all equal I would say.

You say we should buy Eto'o, well, it looks as though he is off to Milan anyway but, why would we want a player who is an even bigger ego than Ade, will ask for twice his wages and isn't proven in the PL? At 20-25m it isn't worth the chance.

It is great to see Rosicky back, especially on a personal level. But is he mentally and physically strong enough to contribute to a sustained challenge for major honours with Arsenal?

Arsenadan89 knows what he is on about. Just because everyone is in debt, we should be too. Arsenal has just built a large stadium and we don't have as much an international fan base as ManU or RealMad. Arsenal won't grow by winning a few more cups, because football from a revenue perspective is about superstar advertising. That is not Arsene-Arsenal. Arsenal is about poetic football and young talents.

Rosicky's return give that little edge that we miss(as by august 15th he will be mentaly and fisicaly fit)and that is to release Fabregas in the midfield rather than having him having to bolster up the defence???I read an earlier post saying we could do with the like's of Eto on our book's????Have we not just let 1 greedy non loyal player go in Adebayor????

Now Nasri, my second favourite player after Fabregas, is injured! Rosicky's return is most timely indeed.

Come on Mr Rosicky, let us see you hit the targets with missiles we know you can deliver, as you have done for your national team as well as for the Gunners! We depend on you, Eduardo, van Persie, Fabregas and the rest.

Keep fit, young men, Arsenal fans need some goal-scoring in the coming season.

Well, Eduardo and Rosicky coming back to the team is a real booster for Arsenal. But i think we should have one or two signing to solidify and guard against any unknown. I think we still stand a chance this season. Scoring goals are our heritage!!!
