England - Australia

comment on the article

Morning everyone,

It's nearly time for day four of the second Test between England and Australia at Lord's - the live text commentary will follow shortly.

England are 521 runs ahead - so how long should they bat on before declaring and setting Australia a mammoth target? And how else will the fourth day unfold?

Do get involved and join the debate.

So, what has happened to Glenn Mcgrath's prediction of 5-0 for the series?

I think we should be told.

Indianadmirer, if you'd listened to his post-match interview you would realise he didn't make any excuses, just like he didn't after the first test but that doesn't suit an agenda, so don't worry about it.

Don't understand what people are getting so concerned about

England have got plenty!

focus on that and you can't go wrong.

Flapping about because Aus have got a partnership going....... well yeah..... that's what teams do...... they fight.

Doesn't mean they'll get over the line

I reckoned 450 target

Still think that'd be enough

Get a grip!

Stand up!

Be proud!

We've got this one sewn up.

--------------------------------------------

Told you

Also told you that 450 would have been enough

Obvious really

well actually we probally only got past 500 becuase no ponit in the players not staying out at the end of 3rd day(because of bad light- aussies would have just taken light)

strauss made the perfect call at 500- although i think it would have been more a resounding victory if we followed them on- we took the measured approach and it still payed of with little or no chance at the loss..

I think you're being very unfair to Australia...if it wasnae for some bad umpiring on Sunday they could quite easily have won this test match chasing 522. In hindsight (because the weather didnae arrive on Sunday) he probably should've enforced the follow on but England still won so no complaints
