If Carrick was on the market, a lot of teams would want to buy him, it depends what certain teams need at the moment.

---------------------------

If anything the champions league final has taught us is that carrick is far from class. He has one attribute and one attribute ONLY. Get ball from a to b with minimum fuss. Can't run, Can't tackle, and at times horrible reading of the defensive part of the DM's game (although there are times when i have been pleasantly suprised).

I cant even believe the word barry and class were bandied around let alone world next to it. Horribly one footed and slow player. Alonso has exquisite vision and two great feet. And he is behind Xavi, Iniesta, Senna and Fabregas in the pecking order smiley....no shame there mate; i wonder where gerrard and lampard would be in that kind of team's pecking order.

Anderson slaters need to give him time in his position. The one thing SAF has done with our brazilian contingent is expose them to the defensive aspects of the game (something that most sorely lack, that includes our red hot fullbacks). I think the Anderson experiment is over and it is time to let him express himself. If he has proven one thing it is that he can track back and he can hold his own against most players in a strength contest and his tackling has certainly gotten better over two years. We shall see the kind of role he has next year. As for his lack of goals, the kid hardly shoots. Takes some deadly penalties mind.

Good luck to him. It is nice move for him. With regular play, he can prove himself.

I wish him all the best. I liked him as a player but thought he would be better suited in Italy or Germany. I just hope we keep hold of Welbeck because I really rate him.

It is fair to say that he struggled at Manchester United, for whatever reason. In all honesty, I had not heard much about him when he signed for the Red Devils but was feeling pretty confident he could make a significant impact if given a continuos run of games in the first team. But, having only made 1 appearance during his stay at one of the most glamourous clubs in world football, you can tell his stay was not very enjoyable.

Added to the fact that he was only at Old Trafford for 18 months or so, with him going out on loan to Panathonikos and Hull CIty, it looks from the outside as if it was an awful signing. I am pretty sure he is better than people make him out to be. And, I will forgive Ferguson for making one bad signing now and then. With having to compete with numerous other strikers at the club for a starting birth, it was the right decision to sell him when they could.

Not being unfair to the lad, he was never going to seriously be in the mix but I do hope he prospers at wherever his career takes him next. Unlucky mate, you are another to have not quite been able to cut the mustard.

It beggars belief that Liverpool fans critisise Utd's transfer policies. No club in the history of football has bought as many truly appalling players as Liverpool have under both Houllier and Benitez .

Off the top of my head try this bunch of wasters :

Cheyrou , Diouf , Traore , Sinama-Pongolle , Le-Tallec , Diao , Nunez , Song , Voronin , Morientes , Riedle , Babel , Ngog , El Zhar , Diomede , Dossena , Josemi , Zenden , Kewell , Fowler , Lucas , Heskey , Plessis , Pennant , Camara , etc , etc , etc

What do United fans have against N'Gog? The lad's only 19, he's had one season in the Prem and done reasonably well, get off his back!

100,000 MU fans welcomed their team and to watch their favourite players played "live". What an atmosphere at the Bukit Jalil Stadium, in Malaysia. Again another 50,000 came to cheer their favourite team for a return match. Never mind Malaysia lost the two games as expected.
SAF and his club must make a point to come to Malaysia as an annual affair in order to keep their fans happy. Worth the effort of coming to Malaysia to show their appreciation to loyal supporters here. It will generate more revenue for MU and maintain its strong brand name as the most richest and successful club in the world. SAF must be a very proud manager getting the maximum attraction and exposure. Congratulations!!
