Trying to remember Becks running rings round Roberto Carlos twice in thirty seconds... with the Brazilian on his a*se....?

Would that have been the time Becks received the ball in space on the left but what with his first touch being so poor and having to use his right instep all the time he ended up going around Roberto Carlos for thirty seconds until the Brazilian had stopped laughing and took the ball off him?

Of course they were both playing for Real Madrid at the time..

5TournamentFloplegend! Be careful don't stir up the wasps nest that is the fantasy fame worshipping brigade! They'll only come out stating how good he played against Greece nearly a decade back and how he ran the show against mighty Andorra. Now all of a sudden he's a master dribbler! Beware the mythical exaggerations. If Day-Vid caught a 2cm sprat by the time his PR and fans got finished with it the mighty fish would weigh 3ton, be 21 ft long and have rows of teeth that would put a great white shark to shame. Beckham the footballing worlds equivelant of a fishermans tale.

twaddle from corzellian (U9314173): "Would that have been the time etc"

devil
No, that would have been the time Beckham ran rings round Roberto Carlos and dumped him on his 4r$e.
And no, they weren't both playing for Real.
Don't embarrass youself further by chattin' $h!te to try to cover up the fact that you obviously haven't seen enough of Beckham to be making such daft statements, and as you clearly are ignorant of the incident to which I refer.
You appear to suppose you can just talk rubbish instead of addressing the point in hand.

Failed $martar$ery from Tomas_W (U12568459): "Stop using fancy words to try and disguise the vacuity of your content."

No. Here's a better idea... why don't you educate yourself rather than take fright at the first sign of erudition... Education is not a disease, you don't have to worry about becoming infected - you are clearly immune in any case.

p.s. Why is it that insecure and undereducated fools like you deride my articulacy on one hand, and then try to emulate it on the other ("Vacuity" indeed... you dam' hypocrite!)
And what exactly is your "content"? Puerile and envious abuse.
Don't engage in a contest with me; you don't have the necessary attributes pal.

Don't you just love it when supercilious idiots like Adam Z Lucifer manage to find their way onto a message board!

They're always good for a laugh. When someone posts a comment trying to extol the virtues of David Beckham's 'dribbling skills' you have to wonder exactly how much football THEY have watched!

Such a hilarious post simply got the reply it deserved old chap.

Does Beckham need to dribble round oposition players? Actually, Ronaldo aside not many wingers do!!! If beating a man is the aim, then the most risky way of doing that is tryiong to go one-on-one. Beating a man through finding free space or using a well judged pass are more effective. Beckham is not a starting 11 player for England but we need him in the squad. For years under Eriksson we cried about a lack of plan B. Now we have a plan B and a player of significant quality who can deliver it, then cat calls go out because you don't like him/his money/his wife etc etc. The reality is we DO need Beckham in the squad.

unfortunately, in 15 odd years and 5 tournaments of playing for england, he proved he DID need something deeper in his game to hurt major opposition even to the slightest degree which he never, ever managed.

I replied to Adam Z Lucifer's post, but presumably it upset him because it was reported and subsequently deleted by the modsquad.
