You could say exactly the same for 95% of all the players there, of course the vast majority of them wont win a major or even finish top 5.
Why keep banging on about Poulter not doing it when he has come closer (fluke over 72 holes???) than many of them ever will.
Is he supposed to think he will never win one just because statistically its more likely he wont?

Steady start for Pod, bad tee shot on the third hope the lie isn't too bad.

Harrington made an interesting comment this week on the state of his game.

He said he had every chance of winning if he put himself in the right position.

On day one, he's just done that and must be thinking of pushing on to join Watson and the others at the top of the leaderboard.

I know there's a lot of golf to be played but based on his opening holes he seems to be in reasonably good nick.

This is the same Harrington that used to be known as Mr Second Place, how many was it, 28?
Paddy was what 36 before he won a major, Poulter is only 33.
If you actually named 50 golfers like Poulter for the same reason I'd have some time for what your saying but the fact is your whole view on his ability is based on not liking him so your hardly objective are you.
