Zamora £6mil

Premier League Hull City
comment on the article

With Fulham will bid £11 million for Peter Crouch only if RH can sell Bobby Zamora.

It is thought that we have bidded around the £6million transfer fee.

Is this too much?

Personally, I don't think so simply because we need to start splashing the cash we cant continue trying to sign bargains for every player. As I am a huge admirer of BZ I would love to see him in the black and amber shirt, more so then Daryl Murphy.

Fulhamireland

your banging your head against a brick wall , Bobby has been good for fulham and will be if we can keep hold of him
He wants to go because alot of the fulham fans got on his back
what alot of the supporters dont understand is , strikers come in pairs , bobatov brought alot of good to aj and jo ,
a high percantage of football fans see , 5 million for 5 goals , As ive said on here before bobby will never bang 20 goals a season ,
what he will do though is , bring many others into the game ,
how many important goals we scored last year and bobatov was involved in most of them

Isn't that interview a few days old?
They seem to have stuck it on an article dated today but Brown indicated that we will be buying before we sell Ricketts. I'd have thought he had some say in the matter - hopefully not to the media!

Brown couldnt sign an autograph at the moment!
Everyone he has looked at has gone elsewhere ASAP.
Perhaps its the images of the 1/2 time eastlands debacle coming back to haunt him?
Either way, we need a manager who can inspire players, not make them look stupid when things go a bit wrong...

Brown - the sun dried clown.

Hull continue to offer over the odds for has been and injury prone players.

Should the worst happen and they get relegated, then you are going to be left with a bunch of overpaid kanckers who you will not be able to offload.

That is supposing that anybody wants to go to Hull.

To be quite honest, I don't see why Brown wants to pay 5-6m for Bobby Z. As a West Ham fan, I always admired Zamora's effort and commitment but his end product was often left wanting. He has all the attributes to be a fine striker - he can use both feet and is a decent header of the ball, but his strike rate speaks for itself - two goals for a club that qualified for Europe says it all.
Best spend the money elsewhere.

If I were Zamora, I would stay well clear of Hull City and their perma-tanned idiot of a manager.

Im sure this is more to do with Brown than Hull as a club. After all the stadium and facilities are of a good standard. There's also plenty of nice leafy areas in East Yorks for the players and their wags to live.

The sticking point is surely nobody would want to play for someone with such an ego who's likely to get sacked before Christmas. If Hull got rid and got someone like Curbishly or Coppell in they might be able to get some players in.
