Sarries CaptaincyPremiership Saracens by emiatss (U11496236) 15 July 2009 Just saw on BBC sport that Steve Borthwick has been confirmed as captain for the 2009/2010 season, with Wikus van Heerdan as vice captain. Are fellow Sarries fans pleased with these two appointments, or would they have preferred sum1 else? Personally, I think Wikus should be made captain, he was our best player in the 2nd part of the season, with excellent rucking, tackling and yard making, an inspiration to fellow players, and with his light bulb scrum cap is instantly recognizable. Another advantage is that there would be international call up for him. Don't get me wrong, Borthwick is a great player, but hes not a great captain as some pretty woeful performances against the Southern Hemisphere showed him up a bit Latest comments

His various coaches at club and international level all obviously think highly of him as a captain and player. I don't beleive they can all be wrong just because I don't get it!
