Which Teams Will Do Well In League One

League One Huddersfield Town

Looking thru the opposition for new season I have picked 8 teams who I feel could be there or thereabout at the end of the season.
Brentford... The best looking team promoted last year. Have bought some players from Dag and Red.
Brighton.. May be going to a new stadium soon. New manager who has bought well and they gave us a good game last year. Have a big fan base.
Leeds...Surely they will get promoted one day. Grayson is a good experienced manager...problem is Bates who never seems to invest in players but invests in hotels and casinos etc.
Millwall.. just missed out last year, have a few new faces and Jackett is a good manager.Again they played well at Town and had genuine pace up front.
MKD... Ince in charge plus money, good stadium, messed it up last year but will be close again I think.
Norwich.. Best equiped relegated team to go straight back. Gunn as manager is inexperienced big fan base and good ground
Oldham.... Dave Penney is experienced and they seem to have bought wisely. Could be a dark horse.
Swindon.. Lots of money for Cox and lots of new faces.
If I was to predict two of these teams to go up I would go for
Norwich and Brighton.
Any thoughts??

Good topic.

There's still 25 days in which most teams are still to shape their squads so it's difficult to predict the leading contenders.

From last season's strong contenders I expect Millwall, MK and Leeds to be still in the frame. They all have good managers and squads and even if Leeds lose Delph and Beckford they will recruit wisely with the proceeds.

The relegated teams are likely to find it tough to bounce back. Norwich have the best chance. Southampton will be a real force next season but not this.

Of the promoted clubs Brentford could go well. One of them always seems to ride the wave of good form until other teams work them out.

Of the others both Huddersfield and Brighton have good chairmen/backroom staff and are making some good moves in the transfer market and should also go well. So my prediction is:-

Leeds
Huddersfield
Norwich
Millwall
MK Dons
Brighton
Southend
Brentford

Huddersfield fan here, enjoyed reading every ones comments, isn't it nice when we all get on except them from down t' road in t' big yellow skip.I reckon it's a little bit early to be predicting the division as a whole because the season doesn't start for nearly 4 weeks and isn't the transfer window open until the end of August? So there's plenty of time for lots of wheeling and dealing especially those clubs who've been in financially choppy waters over the summer. But looking at my own team we finished 9th last season, with a stronger squad then we started out with due to January acquisitions and the emergence of Smithies in goal. And I'd say we have further strengthened the squad during this summer especially in defensive positions so our goals against column should be healthier though all our strikers are a rather untried specimens.Hope that we don't miss Cadds and Boothy at all as that 'll mean we are doing well.So I'd have to predict that we'll finish higher this time round and at least make the play offs.As for the rest I'm really looking forward to seeing how it pans out

Recently been to Brighton for a wedding and their fans are quite bullish and that was before the signing of Dickinson who i think will go well at this level......although Oldterriers comments on a "large fan base" doesn't really matter for this season as their ground doesn't hold more than 5,000!!
I wonder if their optomism is more to do with the new ground finally coming to fruition.
MK Dons have Paul Ince back aswell as a couple of decent looking signings....but should you go back?!!!
The teams that came down i think might take time to adjust and the promoted teams won't be as strong as last seasons in my opinion.
Leeds will be there or thereabouts.....a lot depends on wether they hold on to Delph and Beckford.....or if they can replace them with decent quality.
To summarise.....Town,MK Dons,Brighton and Leeds amongst the top six with Norwich and Millwall finishing strongly after poor starts!!

Our ground holds just over 8 thousand atm and we have indeed been busy in the transfer market, with some decent signings, wouldnt go as far as saying brighton will be automatic promotion contenders but the club is at last moving in the right direction, money dosnt always produce automatic results in any league and this league is no different,in fact the amount of ex top flight clubs that now inhabit this league just goes to show how little money has to do with a clubs sucsess unless your owner is in the billions bracket.I think Leeds will be very hard to beat this season and will finish clear at the top very hard to pick the rest but will go for
Leeds
Mk dons
Charlton
Walsall (yes not a misprint)
Millwall
Brighton
