shiv is right because it was just the original 13 man squad that went on strike but also most of the a team did aswell apparently the wicb asked quite alot of players but they rejected. players like simmons, chatergoon, darren bravo, keiron powell, and devon thomas the promising wicketkeeper. if these batsmen would have played they would have easily beat bangladesh

This series is being played in the Caribbean, not alien conditions in England in May....
doh
The WI beat England 1-0 in a five-Test series in the Caribbean this spring, for those with short memories....
whistle
Unless you're saying that England are weaker than Bangladesh!

Thing is in the record books Bangladesh have won a test against the Windies, not Windies 2nd string.

To all the naysayer, go to .....with your holier than thou type attitude will disappear as the world keeps spinning. Its amazes me to see you all come up with a million excuses to put a good thing down. If CRICKET has to survise it has to come down to earth and accept new faces and learn to live with them. Good Luck B`desh.

they played this int he caribbean yes... and they could still not find any batsmen to play the game? They were all on strike after that grand show of batsman skills they showed in England laugh

"Test" in name only. The more this kind of thing happens, the more degraded Test cricket will become, and the sooner it will die out.

No disrespect to Bangladesh, not their fault, and no disrespect to the team of players from the West Indies who did their job. Considerable amount of disrespect to the WICB, who seem to think their egos are more important than the sport they supposedly love.

Ant, if the reserve batsmen in the squad are Andre Creary and Kraigg Braithwaite, who've hardly played any first-class cricket, that obviously tells you that the vast majority of batsmen in the Windies have joined the strike....
doh
Trying to talk logic with quite a few posters on 606 is like trying to squeeze blood from a stone!
