I think Retief Goosen and Rory McLroy will make good showings at Turnberry.
The venue is great I remember the duel in the sun-Nicklaus v Watson both shooting mid sixties in the two final rounds with just one shot dividing them.
Tiger v Rory would be wonderful though I think that the calm South African may emerge again this year-I cannot forget his great performance at Shinnecock which shares a few similarities with Ailsa.I think that we need at least one day of strong wind to spice things up.It should be great and I hope that the BBC does a good job on the coverage.

I know it sounds a bit Fairytale, but given how Levet missed out in 2002 on the Open and the nature of his fortuitous entry for this year, it strikes me that 125/1 may be worth a little flutter!

No chance Garcia will be anywhere near the top 10 on Sunday. His putting has been terible recently and he'll be lucky to make the cut. ok

I'd predict a very strong showing from Garcia.
His record at The Open is exceptional, and he finished tenth at the US Open despite putting like a donkey.

The greens at Turnberry are fairly flat, so Garica's putting deficiencies may not be as important as at other Open venues. He is one of the best drivers on tour which will be very important. His Open record is excellent and he really should have won a major by now. Let's hope if he is in contention on Sunday he doesn't choose to wear a canary yellow outfit like he did a couple of years ago. He looked more like Tweety Pie than a Tiger.

Poor old Lee Westwood, he seems to want a low key tournament and avoid the press and look what happens.

Garcia Els Allenby and Goosen for me ?!
Not a decent putter amongst them at the minute,
but 1 good day will cure all ?!

I think Paul Casey has a good shout at 28/1. I know he played Turnberry well before he moved to the States and has been adjusting his game to suit (i.e hitting lower drives etc). He has also taken a few weeks off to prepare and also you don't get to world number 3 without being a pretty good player

After that outsider won the last major you could make a case for at leat 50 of the players in the field but as an irishman il probably throw a fiver on harrington and possibly villagas.
