Well Done Celtic

Super League Celtic Crusaders
comment on the article

After a week of extremely negative press the Crusaders have answered their critics with a fine win over a much improved Salfordian outfit. Well done Celtic and keep plugging away. Rugby League is a special game and I for one are glad the Welsh are part of it.

What is wrong with with a League below SL with Widnes, Cas, Salford and Wakefield in it? It would be a strong League imo and the SL could add another Welsh team and another French team in the future (and maybe a Spanish and Irish team)

dam-buster
id go for that and break the rfl away from s/l.
then we would have real rugby league without the razzmatazz and then on tv we could watch 2 welsh teams going at each other in front of a record 1500 crowd (500 of which are the tv employees)

this is the future of rugby league.............enjoy it

i pity you

the championship needs strong heartland teams like widnes, cas, wakey, leigh. teams where the fans dont go far, or think too much.

Some of you are so ignorant, narrow minded and above all *STUPID*

Cas has a fantastic tradition in rugby league, and always punch above their weight and mix it with the big boys. As someone stated earlier we've produced some of the best young talent in the game over the years (normally nicked by the likes of Leeds) and will continue to grow stronger.

Keep on throwing mud at us, it won't stick.

Comments from itsalldarntlane reflect a very regional attitude. If Rugby League is kept solely in its heartland it will wither and die. In the real world every sport including Rugby League must compete for public attachment. You want a game played on a few recreation grounds "up North" on a weekend afternoon and nowhere else carry on with that attitude. The rest of the world will be watching highly professional Soccer, Cricket and a hybrid form of Rugby, then the die hards in RL (and RU) can marginalise their sports and nurse their shoulder chips standing on the touchline on a wet winter afternoon. Enjoy.
