CornishOpinion (U6444516) posted Jul 11, 2009 Yeah, I think they rose too fast for their own good. I know a few of the players and ex-players and they played some excellent rugby, but if they off-field management of the club was so extremely bad then this was only ever going to be the real result. Clubs in National 2 simply cannot build up debts of £26,000 and think to keep running properly.

Scottow (U8286922) posted Jul 12, 2009 Pretty interesting figures. If a rugby club folds owing £26 000 how come football clubs owing several times that amount at the same level keep going? Needs to be looked into I feel.

BuckShelford-Awesome (U13946727) posted Jul 12, 2009 It's sad to see any club go, but this does seem like too much, too quick, especially in a county with a rich rugby heritage. How do you build a new club to the heights expected when there is no new market to be tapped. Comment on this article |
