Before you destroy the sport we love (if it's not already too late).

I'm sick of MM's, and his (un)merry mens', ability to dot every t and cross every i and simultaneously get nothing done! grr

He makes Alice in Wonderland look like a wunderkind! doh

This man is clinging on for all it's worth, after the newspaper article he was damaged - he should have gone then - he brought the sport into disripute.
He has changed his mind before back in 2004 when he decided to stay on so what's to say that he won't do it again and stick two fingers up to the teams and stay put.

Someone who is obsessed with Power [Political] has really little interest in the actual Formula 1 scenario. He could care less because all he wants to do is show how much control he has over Motor Sport. He is a very bad example to all young F-1 enthusiasts and the rest of us older ones who are appreciative of the huge effort put into the sport by the teams and drivers. Max should fade away as quickly as possible before he ruins things any further. Take the door marked EXIT - No re-entry. Bernie should find a replacement as soon as possible too. One who cares about the sport as much as counting money.

Just can't believe the sport is governed 2 men in their (or almost) 70s, who let's face it, no nothing about motorsport aside from its politics. Totally arrogant to assume that FOTA can't organise their own championship.

Anywat, if MM did stand again do you honestly believe he'd be voted in?

Yeah it's not like they ran their own F1 teams doh or helped turn F1 into the marketable media enterprise that it is today doh and helped attract many of the FOTA teams (back) to F1 doh

"Anyway, if MM did stand again do you honestly believe he'd be voted in?"

He has the momentum as the incumbent President, the structure of the FIA and in particular the presidency favours him as many of the smaller clubs will be fearful of "rocking the boat".
Look how they rallied to protect him during the "Spank gate" scandle, when the larger associations the in Europe and the US voted to remove him.

If he wanted to stand? The commercial rights holders would not be happy and it would be hoped the FIA would realise that they would lose their "cash cow" and signal the end of the FIA itself.

Best for all if Ari Vatenan gets the job, he has political savy, a sporting background, but no history with any particular team so should be relatively friction free.
He is also in his 50s so his brain will still be firing on all cylinders.

Almost certainly F1 will remain intact because FOTA are powerful enough to get what they want in the end....but if the they had broken away then all Moseley's rubbish about the FIA still having the F1 World Championship is nonsense. If they don't have the main players they don't have anything (except Williams!)and tv will be knocking on Bernie's door for their money back.

FOTA can reform F1 under their own terms, control the commercial side (without Bernie getting even richer with his 50% cut!)and bring F1 mainly back to Europe dumping those useless wastelands in the Middle and Far East.
