If Fab Delph departs for a fee of around £6 million I for one will be fairly happy. I honestly do not think he one of our key players at the moment. Beckford was destroyed for not performing in the play offs, but what did Delph contribute? If this transfer means keeping our best players I will be very happy.

What makes Delph stand out from any ordinary 19 year old is that he can make David Batty-esque tackles

i hope he doesnt take pens like mr batty winkeye

i think he should stay for another year, at his age he needs regular football to keep progressing, i'm sure there are a few PL clubs who would play him but theres no need to rush, any move is fairly risky for him whereas he seems settled and theres a good chance he could help leeds get promoted - PL clubs might wait to see a bit more of him before splashing around some of the numbers mentioned anyway - i'd tell him to move next year, play so well the coming season that he earns the move he wants.

It would be sad to see someone of Delph's quality be yet another added to the long list of young talented players shipped out for cash.
In my opinion, to keep a player that will most definitely help us get promoted this season and back on the track to the premiership is worth a lot more than £6 million spent on new players. If we sold him for this, what would we get in return? Another season in this league? how can we be sure that bringing players with the money we'd get would get results. This kid has pleged his future to Leeds, we know his quality, it would be a foolish move to let him go.

glaleeds, what alternative would you propose to funding the buyback of TA in October then if you would keep Delph?

Rowe4england has summed it up perfectly - Delph is the most overrated player outside the Prem. He doesn't even come close to the technical ability of George Boyd

..and as for him going to Man City, what a joke! - he wouldn't even get in their reserve side, he'd spend the next couple of years cleaning players boots.

In todays market he's worth about £1.5 Million - however if City are willing to pay £6M for him then that will be the best bit of business Leeds do this decade!

Unfortunately you have not seen enough of Delph to have a proper Opinion.
He Will go to To Villa, Everton or Man City
Half the prem want him and will go on to be a full ENGLAND international.
Chatham born Boyd will only play for Scotland and is a great Championship level player.
