Pleased for him. we're missing out, but nice to see some old fashioned loyalty and honesty.

Good luck for the coming season

Note of caution, I remember the day the Icelandics took over, the arrival of Tevez and Mascherano, hope things don't go the same way

Great to see a team like Southampton survive as a club. Congratulations to all you great fans and a special word of praise for Kelvin Davis. There is still some honour and loyalty in professional football???

I think the icelandics came a bit after that cause there was a debate that they were punished for the previous administrations errors.
But thanks anyway.

@BrusselsHammer - "Why 30 points ?" Are you joking or have you spent the last year in a concrete bunker?

'No meeky that's a load of footballs. He's sacrificed money to help a desperately struggling team while giving hope to thousands of fans. Dress it up any way you like - he's a super cool, solid human being - most ARE mercenary's who care little for the plight of fans.'

This is irony I presume?

Southampton offered him more money than West Ham did. Why would West Ham pay him more to sit on the bench for 45 games?

We could get anyone to do that!

whilst we may applaud kelvin's loyalty the new owners wasted no time in rewarding wotte for staying through thick and thin. remember a previous board's treatment of dave jones although i suppose a new broom will always sweep clean

Loyalty to the club is great to see however I still belive it was the right choice for him. He wouldn't have played for WHU in the EPL and would have been limited to early rounds in the cups.

Would have have signed a contract extension had he known his Manager was to be sacked within hours ? That remains to be answered ...
