International Tests England

Michael Vaughan in Cardiff

Today, just for fun, we thought you might enjoy having a go at coming up with some captions for a picture we've selected from the opening day of the first Ashes Test in Cardiff.

In it, the recently retired Michael Vaughan is seen using his mobile phone while his former England team-mates attempt to build a big score in their first innings against Australia.

Entertain your fellow 606ers by posting your wittiest efforts below and remember this is just for fun - there are no prizes.

Enjoy!

By the way Dirs keep the humour up. That's what live text is all about.

If people don't like it then they need to pay a TV subscription or get a ticket to the match.

Is Vaughny in the process of dropping a stinker over the mid-wicket boundary? Could it have strayed out of the crease and hit the seam?

Some of these entries are truly embarassing. Honestly, this has got to be one of the worst caption comps I have ever seen. Not a single funny one. Was EVERYONE trying not to be funny? Pitiful. Absolutely pitiful.

After seeing Stephen Fry on Top Gear, Vaughny gives his 'grinder' application a test run. Much to his embarrassment it identifies the bloke in shades next to him. Suddenly he wishes he hadn't adopted the 'come and get me big boy' pose.
