To be fair hes behaved himself and got his head down in the last few years. Hes been playing some good football so thats a good signing. Will never forget his fight with Dyer.

Delighted with the signing of Bowyer. Has the grit Carsley provides but also a bit extra with his passing etc. We should have had him a couple of years ago when he was first linked but some bizarre petition saw to that!? As someone else said him and Carr were excellent last season and anyone who disagrees obvioulsy doesnt actually go to the games! Would have been nice to add Troare too as against Preston and Reading he looked very comfortable. Anyway very good signings upto now so looking forward to the new season. KRO SOTV

i would hardly call vieira a has-been. Just because he hasn't played regularly at inter doesn't mean he can't do a job. Think theres a big difference in competition for places between inter and birmingham. He would walk in to your team & is 10 times better than bowyer who hasn't been a player since he left leeds.

I think Vieira is past his best, and would be a good signing only not for £100K a week.

And i also question his commitment as if he said yes right away thats different, but to me he dont seem keen and i dont think we should go around getting players if we eventually offer them to much to turn down.

Now a £60K a week Vieira yes, but not £100K

I dont care if after tax he is left with £50K thats the Taxmans fault not ours.

If Vieira was as good as 3 years ago then yes please. He also has injury concerns.

But i guess with inflation £100K is going rate, as Man City now offering A-List stars in Prime £300-500K a week, it wont be long before Championship players will be demanding £40-50K a weekgrr

no offence KiD he wouldn't have been linked with birmingham if he was still at his best, but this doesnt remove the fact that if he was a birmingham he'd be your best midfielder. He was easily the most talented midfielder wenger signed in my opinion & I include cesc in this.

I would disagree with 1hutton re: Bowyer at West Ham.

When he was fit he was a decent player; the problem, of course, is that he wasn't fit often enough.

imo he's still a decent CMF, and he chips in with goals, which could prove vital. He's a Hammer through and through, so I hope he does well for himself and for you.

As to the 'thug' comments - that was a while ago now. He caused no problems whatsoever whilst with us.

I think provided he comes and is happy to give 100% and keeps fit he would be our best Midfield player.

But i think we need a play maker and Vieira was never quite that especially now.

Also £100K is a lot for our club on a injury prone player.

£50K plus £50K apearence Bonus would be better.

I would offer him £50K plus £30K Apearence Bonus with £2M worth of bonuses split between.

£750K if he gets into World Cup Sqaud

£500K if we stay up

£750K if he features in more than 66% of our games.

This gives him reason to be 100% commited and safegaurds us incase he gets injuried or throws sickiesok

And he could earn upto £5.74M more if he plays in cup games.
